Iceland has been suspended, I think. The country is totally bankrupt; a sort of European Zimbabwe.
To be fair they suspended shares in all financial institutions. I do a fair bit of work for Glitnir, the biggest icelandic bank; and they are still paying their bills.

We'll be fine, we need to cut back the squad any way that will free up cash for transfers, though in reality we shouldnt need to make transfers but what with so many sick notes we need to sort something out, i think a few more loan players for the rest of the season.
Our icelandic main share holder is in trouble, though according to reports he has assets everywhere and moneys not a problem, if it is he will be looking as selling assets (i.e. west ham) and if the arabs becoming interested in buying premiership clubs with endless pockets of cash then ill be more than happy if the club got put up for sale!
carlton cole is just an idiot all that money anyone with half a brain, if they know they was going out drinking, would of hired a driver for the night!!

How does this effect us? From the beeb 'Mr Brown's government has frozen all UK-held assets of the Icelandic bank Landsbanki after it collapsed.'

Because our owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson is a major share holder in the bank. so they are saying one of his main assets has gone bust, so that must of damaged his personal finances, leaving our owner with not much cash for us. but they are reassuring that he has many assets and it won't effect us.
