I glad we won't have to see a thread with this title anytime in the next few years!

I'm not exactly sure why this is... How come everybody hates leeds (not that I'm a supporter or anything)? I remember when they had a fine squad filled with aussi's (viduka, Kewell) and douchebags (ferdinand, smith).... but I've never saw so many people so invigorated by seeing a team, go down. I liken it to the industry standard of hating Tottenham. There's a couple of teams I can't stand myself (all three wear red) and I really don't give a sh*t about leeds persay(especially that easy eddy gone); so I guess I'm really just curious to see what they did (or do) that gets at so many people?

Haha, I don't hate Leeds, I am just very happy that our team will not be relegated anytime soon, while Leeds won't be promoted soon. So unless the get lucky in the cup... we'll never have to face a small team like this.

Also, I hope Nottingham Forest improves, they're a team with a better heritage. Leeds did a lot of this to themselves.

I'm going to go out on massive limb and say if we win against Arse, I guarantee we won't get relegated. I know I'm crazy!!

They're historically a dirty team.

But I suspect most of the hate comes from the fans. In the same way that everyone hates Millwall, Leeds fans have a reputation for being violent scumbags and almost everyone who has visited Elland Road has a story to tell.

The last two times City was relegated, we'd won away at Leads during the season. So the fact that it's impossible this season makes me very happy. I don't think much about them other than that.

I was wondering what the hell the thread name was for! I thought it must have been an old one, unless we've been relegated a couple of divisions while i've been away. I don't hate Leeds but like what Colin Bell said, their players and fans are known to cause trouble at games so most people are happy to see where they are now.

Not being from, nor ever having visited (yet) England, I can't speak from first hand experience. However, I asked my friends from London, Liverpool, etc... the Leeds question after this post and they echoed Alan and Colin's sentiments.

The concensus was that they're violent fans, etc... (although we're not altogether innocent of this, ie... Mickey Francis and the Guv'nors.)
