For all you AO types around the nation, this tailgate will be our pre-game activity. Please support K and the SEs by singing up early for the tailgate ... you will not be disappointed!
AO will have bandanas if you want to buy one to honor the Cuba Cinco by wearing one during the game. If you're an AO and are interested in lending a hand to us and/or SE, please PM me.
Also, K and the SEs have arranged a night-before party at Momo's Sports Bar ...

All you AO types, this will be where we party on Friday nite.
This link has lots of information useful to visitors, including tourist, restaurants, public transit, etc., so I highly recommend visiting it.
C'mon you Yanks!

I just want to let everyone know that I'll be making my US Soccer-themed cookies to donate to this tailgate.

This is going to be so much fun, there's no way it should be legal.
I love soccer, I love tailgating, and I love America. You combine the three, and it's the greatest day ever.

Screaming Eagles and DC United are completely separate entities. Screaming Eagles is a non-profit organization run by the supporters.

But seriously, folks ... $8, or even $10 on game day, seems like a helluva deal for lunch/dinner (dunch? linner?) and a few beers. If SE makes $1 or $2 on each tailgate sold, God bless 'em!
JUST TO BE CLEAR (as I saw some misinformation on the AO website):
For ALL NON Screaming Eagles it's $8 in advance to eat and drink at the SE tgate ($10 on game day). You will get a wristband that will give you access to both tents (if you only want to drink it's still $8 and $10). We do check IDs for 21+ for alcohol (sorry but it's our asses on the line). Please order tix in advance as instructed above as it REALLY helps with our planning (we'll get food and drink for 1,000 if need be but let us know you're coming). Again bus groups, is you can, please order your passes together and we'll give you the wristbands together (will save you time in line).
SEs can show their club ids to drink for free but need to pay the amt above if they want to eat.
If you have questions, let me know.

Question - What's the process for getting the wristbands on game day if you pay in advance? Will you have them at the tailgate or do we need to go the SE ticket booth to pick them up?

If you order tgate tix in advance, come to the SE membership table in lot 8 to pick them up. Then you turn them in at the buffet table to get a wristband (we count the cards to keep attendance records).

BUS GROUPS
If you place your group order in the next few days we can Fedex your wristbands to you so know waiting in line (get off the bus and start eating/drinking) But you need to contact us ASAP and paypal the money with the order.

what is the parking situation in Lot 8? Basically, I'm wondering how close we can park to the Screaming Eagles tailgate setup, to avoid having to carry our chairs and other stuff a long distance to join the massiveness that will be this awesome tailgate.

The earlier you get there, the closer you'll be able to park to the tailgate areas.

Well if you come early we have chairs (at one point we had 110 of them this season but with wear and tear we've lost a few).
I encourage everyone to come early. We've tried to rearrange our set up to keep lines moving as quickly as possible but if 400 people all show up at 5 pm you will be waiting in lines.
