Actually he is signing with another Florence team, Viola something but they are in the 4th division as well. Fiorentina is not competing this year and perhaps never again.

Well, sort of. Fiorentina has been declared bankrupt and disolved. Upon the teams disolvement a new team named Fiorentina 1926 Florentia was created to represent the city of Florence in the Italian league and was placed in Serie C2 (the 4th division). The name has since been changed to Florentia Viola in order to avoid any possible leagle difficulties due to the name Fiornetina being included. And DiLivio did sign for this new team. Many people are looking at this team as a continuation of Fiorentina, and DiLivio's decision to join this new team has been greeted with much admiration across all of Italy, for its not often that a current Italian international (he was just playing in the WC) would be willing to play for a team in C2.
