Hey, I've been asked to play keeper for my rec team, and in practice I jammed my thumb on the ball making a save, now it's real painful even when it's just slightly bent back. Is there anyway I could stablize it with tape or something and still be able to use it?

If it were a finger and not your thumb, you could tape it but there's not much you can do with a thumb.

ouch! I dislocated my thumb and tore my UCL a few weeks ago playing for my college team so I had trainers to tape it for me, but here are a few links to instructions for taping your thumb if you can do it yourself or have someone who can do it for you.

just tape your thumb so you cant move it. itll still hurt if your trying to make saves but it will feel somewhat better than before.
