I already have a bachelor's degree and never did play college soccer. I'm thinking about going to back to college for an Associate's degree and was wondering whether I could tryout and play on the college soccer team?

Once I've used up my four years of college could I go back and be eligible to play in college soccer?

thks

Since you are talking about an associate's degree, I assume you mean a junior college. I see know age limits for NJCAA requirements - http://www.njcaa.org/njcaaforms/080610_2_Eligibility%20Pamphlet%20-%2008-09.pdf.

The age limits are pretty strict for NCAA D1. NAIA, I believe, has no age requirements.

I don't think so there was an outside the lines special on espn about some 40 year old wrestler playing i think division 2 ncaa.

I'm just finishing up at Cape Fear CC in Wilmington NC, we had a player this year that was 22 and last year one that was 23. I'm sure that there are age requirements but I do not know what they are, the only requirement that I know for sure is that the NJCAA goes hand in hand with the NCAA's rule about only have 5 years of eligibility once you being your sport, you can do up to three years at a Ju Co but one must be as a red shirt. Your best bet would be to look into Ju Co's and I've heard that NAIA schools have much different age restrictions as well.

Good luck

I don't think there is an age limit. I saw a story on E60 about a 40 year old who went back to school (a community college in Oregon) and did wrestling. I think he ended up winning the Juco championship.

were you ever rostered? did you redshirt? if you weren't rostered you stil have 5 years. . . if you were rostered you would have needed a medical redshirt if it happened during the season, if before the season and you didn't play at all you would still need a redshirt (if rostered) and have only 4 years total yes so yes you would be able to play your 5th year

If you weren't rostered at all YOU NEVER PLAYED so you have 5 years (4 playing 1 redshirt left)

and the guy who wants to play Juco you can no problem had a guy come back from a 4 year school to finish a certain program at a Comm. College and he played two years its all about when you started playing college ball

From the time you are rostered on a team you have 5 years to PLAY 4 years so a redshirt year does not count. . . .THERE IS AN AGE LIMIT ON DIVISION ONE you must be under 25 years old. . . .hope this helps
