Im a citizen already.

I've decided Im not going to vote. It will make sense to vote for Obama bc he represents the minorities.

When Obama talks about immigrants though, he sounds more republican and more racist than the white folks.

Obama said clearly to Jorge Ramos in the dabate vrs Hillary that " We will patrol our borders better and we should have our children learning Spanish as a second languages." I wasnt expecting that, it didnt sound like showing love for hispanics to me.

Im not going to vote for a republica either, most of them are racist animals with money.

If they are not interested in helping latinos, why would we be interested in voting for them?

Thats what I think, I dont like neither of them but our best choice is obama no doubt thats who im voting for. If he gets gay on the immgration thing the latino community will come down on him like a ton of bricks, look at the media now you hardly see any anti illegal campaigning they knew the fuked up. What did you expect him to say ........ that Americans should be learning Spanish as a first language?? That the US, probably the most hated country on the planet, should not secure its borders? And in answer to the bolded question, you vote for one of them because the US doesn't exist to help Latinos. It exists to serve all citizens, from wherever. You pick the one who helps you the most in other ways, not the guy who helps the most Spanish speakers get into the country. Hell, I'm a Black guy who has been voting for guys who don't "do" anything directly to help me for years. You vote for the better overall of the options. If I were sitting around waiting for them to say that Swahili should be the first language of the US and Africans should be able to enter the country without any questions, I'd never have voted before.

as for your statement about mccain and african immigrants, well it's grandstanding. I know SEVERAL African immigrants without papers who HAVE been sent back. Almost every one of them that i know that was sent back was a person who entered the country LEGALLY for school, got their degree, and then was denied the opportunity to get a visa to stay and work. And clearly the US currently lets waaaaaaaaaaaay more Spanish speakers into this country than Africans. It's not even close. Spanish speakers from Latin America are by far the largest group being let into the US, so what is the complaint? Limiting the amount of people coming and saying that NONE can come are 2 entirely different things, and you know that. African immigration is limited far more than that from south and central America. This is an honest question, and I don't want to start an argument so you can respond to me as a personal message if you want, but what amount would be "enough" for you? Should everyone who wants to come from Latin America be allowed to come at will? If not, what is enough? What would satisfy you? And if your answer is immigration should be without limit from Latin America, do you think it should be unlimited from Africa too? From East Asia? I honestly want to know what Spanish speakers from south of our borders think.

Honestly, Latinos (some, not all) are spoiled, especially in California. This is America! The truth is, its a complicated situation. While many hard working Latinos are exploited for cheap labor, there are also many Latinos who are primarily interested in their own well-being, and quite frankly, don't care as much about what they can do for the U.S. as much as how they can adapt their own needs and desires. For example, why do Latinos hate on Obama for wanting to make immigrants learn English? (and btw I'm been playing on Sunday league teams my entire life, including now, and have a sociology degree, so I have street cred) Many Latinos are stubborn, which isn't that bad in itself. What bugs me personally is the entitlement, the idea that America needs to adopt to Latinos. To put it in another light, imagine immigrating to Paris and trying to make a living there with the same attitude. "No, I like English, you learn it, even though I'm in your country". "No, I want bilingual English/French college classes". They wouldn't give a damn, and rightly so. So what makes Latinos so special? If you don't want to learn English, why are you here? Once again, it makes as much sense as me moving to Paris and refusing to learn English. Wonder how far thatll get me?
God, now this sounds like a Latino hate thread. It isn't, I love Mexican people and Mexican culture especially, but sometimes I feel Latinos collectively need to check themselves (some, not all). And I feel Obama shouldn't be hated on for introducing perfectly reasonable requirements TO YOUR FACE, being honest and letting you know up front. Maybe if you'd taken time to read it properly you'd have seen that the word before "his" is "fot". Now i'm no english major, but i've never seen that word before. So putting two and two together, i'd think he ment to write "for this", but accidently wrote "fot his".

my english may not be perfect but my dad is lawyer so my knowledge on law and politics are better than what you think.

i watched the whole debate, he did not give good answers about immigrations, most of the time he ended up talking bad about bush and other stuff.

First of all, 95% of blacks vote Democratic historically...what, you think if it were Hillary, suddenly 1/3rd of blacks would want to join the lynching party, er, GOP?

Even though i don't like the way a lot of people talk about us latinos, that were lazy yet we in a lot of ways make the USA go round, however the USA can't just let everyone come in the country.
