Guys:
Three comments on this:
1) There is a limit on the total number of trades that anyone can purchase. So he who spends most won't nec. win, and there is still a ton of strategy to this game.
2) I think it's a great idea to set-up NET (no extra trades) divisions for those who don't want to spend.
3) Please know that we could only start building games like this if we felt that there was some revenue coming back. We're by no means going to get rich off this game, and we're building this game to see if there's a market for games like this and because I'm a huge soccer fan.

Actually I've only got one (Wiltord), and he didnt do much vs Chelsea. Zenden had a poor game as well, and Newcastle plays tonite. I actually tried to be as Arse-nal, ManUre and Liverpuke-free as possible when selecting my team.
And no, I wont be buying any transfers...just waiting for Tuesdays to get my one freebie...i need to get rid of my defenders...averaging 36 measely pts. per game

Anyone with Wiltord should be thrilled they didn't get 25 points taken off their score. I can't believe he wasn't sent off!
I'm not positive but it still doesn't look like the scores have been updated.

I would like to see a BigSoccer alternative league, too, with no buying of trades, but also one entry per person.
Who buys trades?... Seems to me that it's a waste of money, the only good game is a free game...

BC - I'm amused that Robbie Keane is still with Leeds and not with Spurs yet.
Darr - I wonder that too, but talk a look at some of the top teams. Some guys trade several players for every game day. Also, I am 1480 (down 38 ) out of 49.137.
Eric - I hope you have a second season.

He said "this week" so hopefully before Saturday. If Morrison scores another goal while not on my team I'm gonna cry. :(

Gang:
The problem with updates last week related to our stat feed. We're basically dependent on getting "good data," and when we don't, we're in a bind until the new feed comes, at which point we can re-run stats. God, that was a long-winded explanation. The basic answer is: sometimes we have problems with stat updates, and it's out of our hands.
In other news:
Morrison et al were added.
Keane was switched to Tottenham.
Please feel free to email me (ebarmack@sportingnews.com) if problems arise.
