Argentine Clubs

Hey, I'm going to try and follow football in Argentina. Im a gringo, therefore I can't speak Spainish, so it will be hard to get some good stuff over the internet in English(So far I cant find anything). I would love it if you guys could give me some info on the various clubs. Thank you.

Boca Juniors, crowned champion in Libertadores is leader in Apertura, with 21 pts sole leaders, the closest second, being Rosario Central has 18 and San Lorenzo 17 pts. River Plate Clausura Champions, are the big surprise, placing themselves in 11th place with 12 points.

This page is in spanish, but here you can see that standings and if you click on each team it shows their last game score, coming up game, roster, last 10 games streak, last 5 games as visitor streak, last 5 games at home streak.

I have a question for the Argentine soccer experts. Why are so many clubs in the 1st division all from the same city(Buenos Aires). It seems like more than half of them are. I mean even London, England doesn't have have nearly as many clubs.

Thats bc Buenos Aires is the size of Uruguay.

Now I'm lost. Buenos Aires is both a state and a city? All those teams play in the same city?
