According to eloratings.net, the national team has scored more goals than they have allowed, counting Wednesday's 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago. At 15th in the rankings, no other team above the US has a negative GD. Paraguay, 16th, has a negative GD of 811-873.

Elo records have been disputed in this thread (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=210283) concerning the all-time win-loss record, perhaps because it counts games that FIFA doesn't recognize, but it's at least one more stat in which the US broke even and went ahead.

FWIW, Poland beating the US in the 2002 WC was considered one of the biggest upsets of all time.

Also on the list, US over England 1950 and the US blowout of Argentina in the Copa.
