We've just seen the greatest night in the history of Central American World Cup Qualifying.
Not only did every Central American team win in convincing fashion, but the US and Mexico did their part to all but destroy the hopes of everyone else.
And as we saw in that El Salvador at Costa Rica match, ALL the teams will be competitive in the games between each other.
Every week in the Hex will see at least one UNCAF derby, sometimes two.
And the US and Mexico are going to have to go into some mighty unfriendly territory.
US-Mexico-Costa Rica-Honduras-Guatemala-El Salvador. Brutal.
That's going to be a bloodbath every week, an amazing Hex, maybe the most hard fought ever. Massive Central American crowds to see Hon-Guat-ES in the U.S. (they might have to put them ALL in Columbus).
And what about visiting crowds within Central America? Guat at ES? Hon at CR? Talk about "sacando chispas".

Can wait, yet too early still, next game will define it though.

I think the reality of a four team Central American Hex is VERY realistic. The only team that has a realistic shot of still being knocked out is Guatemala. They still need to handle their business with Trinidad.
I hope El Salvador is ready to play Honduras, because you better believe we will be ready to embarss those clowns all over again.

We're clowns? Please dont start to make this into heated discussion. Most of us have not dissed on Honduras, no mention of the Rambo fiasco, we havent trolled into your threads. So please refrain from calling us clowns. There's no need for that on either side, at least not until we play, but even then.

If the 6 teams in the HEX end up being Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, USA, and Mexico...its going to be real crazy...Every stadium for every game will most likely be a sellout...and all the games will have a lot of tension with the teams playing at 100% and hard fought matches. I see it being a lot more exciting than the 2002 qualifiers which had a lot of great matches.
It would be sick if all of Central America went to the World Cup together...but realistically I see USA getting the 1st spot...Mexico the 2nd...and the last 2 between us Centroamericanos.

To that one "pelo en la sopa": please stop insulting people regarding a hypothetical hex scenario. Most of these teams have not even qualified yet--geez!
Peace be with you man. (haha, kidding ;) )
Cheers! :)

Since when are Honduras and El Salvador friends?!?!?! Maybe some of you are too young to realize the fact that we went to war with one another over a soccer game. The only reason there has been no rivalry the past few years is because your joke of a team has not had any talent to speak of the past decade. You guys got lucky and showed lots of heart the game against Panama and are now a pathetic group to qualify to the hex. It appears like you guys are taking care of business against Suriname (lol) and Haiti (pathetic team) and are ready to go on to the next round.
Don't get me wrong, I for one am glad you guys are qualifying to the hex. I will take you guys qualifying over any of those caribbean hacks anyday of the week. I have many close Salvadorian family friends and consider us to be brothers. I really mean that. We share many common struggles, culture, cuisine and family roots. When it comes to soccer however, we are bitter enemies. If you do not realize that, learn the history of your countries soccer and speak to your elder family members and ask them what they think of Honduras soocer.
Sorry to break you the news, but your team is much weaker then it was the last time you went to the hex. I have been following your team VERY closely. I am not impressed. The level of soccer you guys display is not very high. The days of Diaz Arce and Cienfuegos (God I loved that guy), are long gone. Honduras on the other hand has one hell of a team. Our depth and individual talent are World Cup worthy. If the best ammunition that you have against us is the Rambo fiasco (which I must give to you, was pathetic and an embaressment), that controversy actually highlights my main point in regards to the depth of talent in Honduras as his replacement in Ramon Nunez has scored three goals in his place. Our biggest export of late has not been bananas, but soccer talent to Europe and South America.
Now that you guys are going to the hex, I congradulate you. Midnight is upon us however Cinderella. Honduras is going to make you guys swallow a bitter reality pill come the next round. Lets party like it's 1999 boys. Enjoy it while it lasts. Daddy is on his way home.

I kind feel sorry for the rest of the teams, after we go first, honduras second and cr third
The real big fight would be ES-Honduras, el clasico de clasicos... remeber that Alux Nahual song.
"Alto al fuego, cesia al fuego, todo el territoria centro americano."
I say we beat everbody at home, then we may lose to guate or costa rica away, other than that, i dont see how people is going to stop this DCLs army.
I can see Anaya breakings Landycakes leg, and Gonzalez owning Temoc ;) Salazar is a bestia in the middle.
Honestly though the one game every Salvadorenos has already in mind is Honduras... 2 WCs dawg, bambinos arent good enought to make it to WCs I guess, only Magicos and Cheyos ;)
