View Full Version : US vs T&T Oct 15th
I'm planning on going to T&T for the WCQ October 15th and thought I would check in here to see if anyone has any hot tips on vaction packets, hotels or vacation rentals? What about Sam's Army? Do they ever have deals? I'd think with enough people going they'd be able to charter a plane and/or rent a block of rooms at a hotel or resort?
Thanks in advance!

im not going, but looking anyway i found air for about $400 and thats from seattle with taxes and all, dont think thats too bad
$400 is a great rate! The best I found from San Francisco is $594 (via orbitz.com). What airline had the $400 deal? Maybe the have something similar coming from SF (you'd think since we're closer to T&T, than Seattle)

I have two children in college. That's putting a damper in any thoughts of travel to games away from my home.

In an unexpected turn of events, USSF is not getting an allocation.
Roy Keane has adequately expressed my feelings on this.
Go to www.ttffonline.com to order tix. We ordered Uncovered seats. Uncovered are approx $35 each and covered are approx $80 each. BOLLOCKS.

check out the picture of the stadium:

looks like covered seats are in the middle of the pitch according to the picture and according to the ticket sales for the TnT vs England match are pretty limited if thats what youre going for.

Wow is right - was expecing to get tickets from US Soccer only to get the same email response. How can the head of CONCACAF not give the away team tickets to a WCQ. Has he given up on trying not to look like a complete money grubbing criminal. I mean when Jack Warner's tickets showed up in scalpers hands in Germany that wasn't bad enough? Now he needs to control WCQ ticketing any chance he gets to skim more cash off the top? Wow!
A buddy and I are headed down to Trini the Sunday before - super cheap Spirit Air flight - and heading back Thurs @ 1:30am (ouch). Will probably get a couple of covered seats to take in the game.
Trying to figure out where to stay...any ideas?

For sure. Just get a ticket in the uncovered section. thinwhiteduke and I are taking the Carribbean Airlines flight down from JFK at 1 am on match day and then returning at 1 am after the match. Surgical strike.

DEFINITELY. in my experiences at hasely crawford, its pretty easy to move around. the uncovered seats are 200 TTD rather than 500TTD so thats what we are doing (exchange rate is about 6 TTD to 1 USD). the more US supporters we can get there the better. lets make some noise!

I convinced my wife we should do a CONCACAF road trip for this one. She gets three days on the beach in Tobago (well, our toddler daughter and I do, too), as well as two nights in Trinidad, and I get to take in the game.
We're flying down from NYC on the 11th and returning the 16th.
Some questions/thoughts:
1) Do you think the game will sell out? If not, I will just buy one ticket at the stadium the day of the game.
2) If you do think it'll sell out, I'll just buy one from TTFF Online. Do you know if Will Call is an option? I don't want to have to fork over a lot for FedEx to ensure getting my ticket before leaving next weekend.
3) I'd love to meet you guys beforehand for drinks and whatnot. Any ideas on where/how do to this?
4) For those of you doing just a Trinidad visit, we're staying at the Crowne Plaza in Port of Spain.

Does anyone know if the seating is general admission or reserved seating?

i dont think the game will sell out, but if i were you i would buy a ticket in advance just in case. will call is available, so you can just pick it up at the window the day of the match.
i dont know that any US supporters have set up plans yet for meeting but we will certainly be doing something before the match. keep an eye here or i can PM you when we work out something solid.

Hmmm, either I am blind or the ticketing info has disappeared from the TnT site. Any pointers?
