Yeah, I do kind of have a problem with Swanny coming back and saying "Oh, I'm perfect for this job PLEASE PLEASE PICK ME I'll come here more often".
It's just not fair to others who would like the chance to moderate (myself included), and are regulars here on the E&G forums.

To anyone who wants to apply:
1) Submit a request in the HelpDesk
2)PM Apps, JC, DK, Sarabella, and Huss informing them that you're interested

Anybody can declare their interest in the post. They would have to submit an application and take it from there. I don't think Apps and JC would let on who they actually have a preference for, but there shouldn't be a problem with disclosing the applicants.

By the way, I left a big old assgroove in my modding chair :p

Here's my take the forums were better after 2006 till around summer 2007 then it started going down hill :( I miss those times although I just frequent the off topic, but it used to be so nice and compact before this whole crazy jumble..

Swanny would have made a good mod a year ago but frankly he's not been around enough. Him saying the reason he wasn't about for ages was because he wasn't a moderator has kinda done his legs in my eyes because it seems like the only reason he's coming back is because the position has now become available (which is pretty much the facts under his own admission). I think if he ran over his ideas with Apps and JC they may well take him on but I'm not sure.

If I was only here to be a moderator, I would have been clamoring to apply a while back, but the need wasn't there. This place was going GREAT for the longest time, but as some problems have arisen and things have deteriorated, I felt it was time to step up, and with Skizz resigning, the time is even better.

Honestly, I could help make the E&G forum tops on the web for equipment information and talk.

I know the work it takes, as I've been a moderator on a much larger forum before.

I'm just waiting for the starter's pistol... :D
