Fernando Palomo, Elmer Polanco. We need your help in here.
We are sick of watching poor internet crap in our games when we have chess games on ESPN Deportes.
YES WE ARE SICK OF IT.
Here is the deal.
Our next game is going to be vrs Suriname. We are not watching Spanish tv or media unless they have our games live.
If you are a Salvadoreno, tell that to all your family from Miami to LA, not to watch novelas or anything that have to be with Univision, Telemundo, Galavision, or any of the crappy Spanish channels on the latino deals for cable.
If you are not Salvadoreno but do want to give us a hand, you are more than welcome, today you do us a favor, tomorrow it will be you the one that would need one.
YES EVERY SALVDORENO IN AMERICA HAVE TO JOIN THE CAMPAIGN. WE ARE SICK OF YOUR CRAP.

Same for the Chapines. I'm not boycotting anything cause I doubt anything will happen but maybe a letter to them might help.

Well you put it in the other thread. I know no one, so the best I can do is write a letter to someone.

I think our best shot is Telemundo since they have shown ES games before.

well. first i gone start getting my army of salvi college boys together from here and from El Salvador.
the next step would be sending a lot of emails to univision, telemundo, galavision, espn deportes and fox sports in espanol. I think Fox Sport in Espanol is going to be the real target.
Univision is owned by mexicans who prefet to put crappy chiapas on tv. telemundo i think is owned by a gringo network now so it will be more difficulto.
Fox Sport en Spanol I think is the biggest sport network in the Spanish community, Elmer Polanco works there. The worse, I saw yesterday a game between Hungary and some other crappy team from Europe?
are you serious?
What does hungary have to do with HispanicAmerica? they have the guts to put some european crappy game that has nothing to do with latin america and they wont put live a Salvadoran, Costa Rican or Guatemalan game for WCQ? that is just f.. wrong.
We have got to stop crap like this happening. This is just plain wrong! They are alive bc of us, the "latino" and "hispanic" population, this is why they are called "Fox Sports en Espanol" or "latino" networks.... why dont they call themselve "Fox Sports we love kissing european a"
We def have to do something.

Itīs all down to the $$$. There are more Mexicans(legal and illegal) in America than all other Latinos combined, and more Americans willing to watch European teams play than there are Central American fans. When Univision pulled Argentine Andrés Cantor to put in Mexican Jorge Ramos for the WC a while back, people in Florida almost rioted, as Ramos barely knew what he was talking about, but it was obvious why they did it.
Youīre on the right track with this though, Mexicans have reached a critical mass in America and canīt be ignored by the media any longer, but a huge amount of support for the game in America comes from non-Mexican Latinos(Central Americans in particular.) There isnīt any excuse for broadcasting games on the other side of the world at the expense of ignoring the ones here.

if it comes to money, let see what happened when about 7 millions of salvadorenos stop watching for a day any of the "latino" channels in cable.
we are about 2 millions salvadorenos in the US, im sure our boys back in el salvador would support since cable tv is so cheap in ES, a lot of people do have cable.
about how many central americans are in the US? should we ask for the rest of central americans support?
how many mexicans are interested in watching Hungary vrs Andorra in Fox Sports in Espanol?

While I was in Guate I realized how much cell phone and tv companies rip us off in the US. This is ridiculous.

yes, cable and phones are super cheap, i guess is bc they have a lot of spanish, french and germany companies competing againts each other. im still waiting for the Aguila directivos feedback, then im going to get the Univision boys. Yeah we will make something happen.

How many expat El Salvadoreans are there in the US? I am interested in the Suriname-El Salvador match, but I'm a soccer nerd :pAlmost two million, a million Guatemalans, and close to a million Hondurans. Thatīs compared to around 30 million Mexicans/Mexican-Americans.

College is paying off;)

Definately. I donīt necessarily want to make it a Mexican vs. Central American thing, but make sure that they take the Central American market seriously. A huge amount of support for for the MLS and USMNT comes from Central Americans(Guatemalans, Salvadoreans and Hondurans in particular.)

remember that this is not going to be a "fight" againts the average mexican that comes here and has 3 jobs, and most of the time get used to living next to salvadorenos, hondurenos, chapines y ticos.
naah this is a fight vrs the upper class mexicans from televisa, the ones that look more gringos, this are the ones that put crap like tennis and hungria games on espn deportes and fox sport in espanol, this population is prob 3% of the mexicans from mexico but they do have power. they own most of the univision and tv networks here in the states and in mexico.
idk if any mexican would jump and support our thing, if they do, good for them, if they dont, well... we will have to find central americans that are hardcore, a few college boys and some others in the big cities like DC, Miami, LA, Dallas and Houston that would get pancartas in support of the central american community, maybe we can get a few south americans too.
i got about 20 aguiluchos already, next step is going to be going to the univision forum. ill get a couple of hundred fasistas, aliancistas and firpenses from there.
ill keep you guys updated if anything goes on in los angeles.
luis if you go to any of the Galaxy game, a little banner could help.
any of you go that go to DCU games, DallasFC or something.
ill be back with more.

It's going to come as big shock to the owners of Televisa that they own Univision.
The network was sold on March 12, 2006, to a consortium led by Haim Saban (who had previously owned the entity Saban Entertainment), TPG Capital, L.P., Providence Equity Partners, Madison Dearborn Partners, and Thomas H. Lee Partners for $13.7 billion or $36.25 per share plus $1.4 billion in acquired debt.[2] The buyout left the company with a debt level of twelve times its annual cash flow, which was twice the norm in buyouts done over the previous two years.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Univision)

thanks for the info bro.
i think its going to come down to Fox Sports en Espanol and ESPN Deportes, we will see how we force them to have a few games.
remember that is all about "propaganda" and they dont want 2 millions of salvadorans mad at them, sp with the fact that a lot of salvadorans americans are already mixed with whites, south americans, other central americans, mexicans and believe it or not, even arabs like armenians and jews... i have met many half salvi half jews in LA.
if they want a bad propaganda, they gone keep televising hunria games and england 21... I guess Capello is latino
seriously though, this have got to stop, Spanish, Hispanic and Latino media is for us to enjoy our culture... none of those european games have nothing to do with our countries... ukrania, turkey... none!

me and my boys are going to go after anybody who has the guts to tell the salvadorenos that they have to travel to the big cities and pay $20 to watch our games, while mexicans are not even watching but have to option to watch their baseball and chiapas...
yes is not right that HISPANIC OR LATINO channel in the United States has a game between holland and Norway u21 and not have our most important games.
we will do anythig we can to pressure these bastards, enought is enought!

I am from Mexico, I've lived in the US for the last 10 years. Don't make this about Futbol Salvadoreņo vs anything Mexican, because you would be barking up the wrong tree.
I support your cause, but I also understand (not justify) why these things happen. Someone has looked at the demographics and decided that there is a better chance to sell advertisement on certain programs, and those programs rarely happen to be Futbol Salvadoreņo. It has nothing to do with a misplaced sense of patriotism or a "screw them Centries" mentality. It is just business based on numbers.
So if you feel that their interpretation of the numbers is mistaken, send letters, get signatures. Not sure boycotting Novelas would do much to send a message.
It also has to do with how the rights were negotiated by the owners, for example, Telemundo has the rights to all Mexico NT games... I hate all networks but I much rather have someone that used to be at Televisa narrating my games (just grew up that way), and that is what Univision has, yet they don't have Mexico NT games, go figure. So perhaps someone back in the motherland screwed you guys while trying to get an unreasonable deal.
just my $0.02

If you read above, you would know that this is not vrs mexican, in fact we could use some mexican help on this one.
This is againts fox sports en espanol and espn deportes, this are "hispanic" or "latino" networks that are having european juvenile tournaments and not our central american games... this is very sad.
a large percent of salvadorenas and centroamericana women watch novelas and yes if we have to get our women to help, we will do it, just so they feel the pressure.
the first target is def going to be our federation, then we will have to adress the "latino" and "hispanic" networks here in the US.
I totally understand that Mexicans are the majority and therefore they are going to be satisfied the most, but it is insane to have old european games, to have every single copa sudamericana game, copa libertadores game, and not to have CENTRAL AMERICAN GAMES, WE ARE HISPANIC TOO YOU KNOW!
Think of MLS for example, Cienfuegos, Diaz Arcer, Rodriguez and Cerritos were huge factors on this league to survive, not to mention Machon, Pezcadito, Amado Guevara... I guess now that they can live without our help, they forgot that once they needed us...
We gone find the responsible for this, and if it is Calvo, he will have to pay for it. Yes WE DONT WANT UKRANIA VRS ANDORRA GAMES ANYMORE IN OUR HISPANIC CHANNELS, OR HOLLAND VRS CYPRESS U21. WE WANT OUR FUTBOL, HISPANIC OR LATINO FUTBOL!

And I wish I could help. What I was alluding to was some comments about Mexicans being able to chose between their baseball etc...

And one of the other points I was trying to make was that this is nothing personal by the people running the stations or paying for advertisiment, it is a $ decision. So you have to make a business case for them not a "f-you all elitist euro wannabes, put my soccer on!" case.
Best of luck.
