I figure just one match thread would be enough for these games.
L'equipe believes we are going with the same starting lineup as the Sweden game, with the exception of Nasri starting ahead of Malouda. I think this is huge, as Nasri has been in much better form and may signal that Domenech maybe is really changing his ways. I'm not sure how well Flamini has been fairing with Milan but I would have rather seen him start ahead of L. Diarra. I would also like Clichy ahead of Evra, but it might just be my Arsenal bias talking.


Mandanda - Sagna, Gallas, Mexès, Evra - Toulalan, L. Diarra - Govou, Nasri - Henry (cap.), Benzema.

Alou Diarra & Mandanda deserve the national team. I don't get why Diarra, Fanni and Briand are responsible of this possible loss since they aren't playing. Plus, Mexes is responsible of the 1st goal and Gallas of the second one. I don't see what Mandanda did wrong and I'm not a fan of l'OM.

We only saw during the this match what we saw against Sweden. The only difference is that Austria haven't missed their scoring chances. The complementarity between Mexes and Gallas isn't obvious especially when Mexes is used on the left side of the centre defense. Evra also doesn't cover his left side well like against Sweden and the Nederlands and leave too many opportunities to Austrian midfielders.
