WCQ :: USMNT v. Cuba, 9.6.08 @ 19:00 CDT

Just a reminder that this match appears to be going ahead as scheduled in Havana, even though Gustav blew threw a week ago. The USMNT is already in country, having traveled down from Miami today. The roster is out along with some comments at the US Soccer website (http://www.ussoccer.com/articles/viewArticle.jsp_9535492.html).

Cuba has gotten off to a rough start, having dropped a 3-1 match against T&T, and their road doesn't get any easier after the US match, as they then travel to Guatemala for their next WCQ on September 10th.

After chatting with several folks, to avoid confusion on locales, Chantico's Army will still gather at Mother Egan's for the match since that's been posted for a while. You can get details at maps at the Army website (http://www.chanticosarmy.com).

I hope to see some of you there, and don't forget, the T&T WCQ is coming up soon on the 10th.

We had about 4 folks there at the match at ME's, although the quality of football was less than stellar from the US squad. There were a number off comments about the US squad just passing the ball amongst themselves when they went 1-0.
