Update: Gasmi has joined Southampton from French side Strasbourg on a season-long loan, Sky Sports reports.
Analysis: Gasmi will give the Championship side plenty of options but he will remain initially in France while recuperating from a broken foot. The Saints have the option to purchase the 21-year-old should he prove to be a success.
