Looks like Macca is on his way back to Sunderland for 6 million, while we bring in this Portuges Ferrari.........Brrrrm 8 million, or a years loan. Not sure.
One or two others on the incoming list, so they say, but we'll just wait and see.

Great business, buy him from Sunderland for 1m sell him back for 5. Football wise, I think its a terrible decision and I hope he stays.

Not if we get Ferriera......... Different class Stomps..........Oh, and it's 6 mill and anyway, you never liked him. I don't think he'll go without us having a replacement lined up.

I've liked McCartney for ages. Not only does he have a great ear for melody, but according to Mark Noble has the world worst body odour and halitosis that can kill at ten paces. These qualities make him a solid defender and frees Ethers to sprint down the left before falling over and losing the ball

We do have Neill who can play on the left, no shortage of players who can play right back, apparently West Ham have rejected a 5 million bid from Sunderland for Cole!

This makes no sense at all; he was far and away our best and most consistent player last year, and Neill sucks at left back in comparison.
McCartney signed a new 5-year contract in July and leaves in September. This whole transfer business is crazy. This will really hurt us.

Allegedly, I've yet to see evidence of his left back abilities. Turns out that Pardew had quite the eye for a player, as he's another player from Pardew's time we've sold for a tidy profit.

Not on the Hammers website yet but apparently Linda has gone, reason's stated is that he and his wife hadn't settled in London so they choose to go back to Sunderland of all places. He is having his medical at Sunderland at the moment.

Didn't Linda just sign a new contract? I heard that his wife was really annoyed as it was her that couldn't settle.
6million is a terrific deal for us if we re-invest. Ferrari is a class act and would strengthen our team.
Agree with Mikey Pardew had an eye for talent.

Find it hard to believe that his wife became unsettled just after signing a new 5 year deal. Sounds very suspicious to me. From a business point of view(and this seems to be the only way to view things now) if we got 4 million plus for him then it's been a very profitable deal for us.
Good luck to George anyway. I'm sure he will get a good reception when he returns to UP.
Am disappointed that it looks as though we didn't bring anyone in. I know that Neill can play left back but not his best spot. Does this mean that Widdowson will be given an opportunity as he seems to be the only natural cover we have?
I just hope that the Board do not think that they can treat the supporters like muppets and will be very clear in their upcoming statement as to the whys and wherefores.

To be fair to the club, the board; and even Dux, Linda put in a written transfer request. Not a lot they could do when Sunderland upped their offer to 6 mill. We bought him for 1 million in 2004.
I am amazed that we do not appear to have got a single player from the 5 or 6 that we were chasing.

McCartney basically calls West Ham board a liar with regards to his supposed written transfer request ...
