Crystal Palace are considering offering Dennis Wise a chance to resurrect his career in the First Division after opening talks with the former England international.
Wise is a free agent having been sacked by Leicester City last month for breaking his team-mate Callum Davidson's jaw in Finland while on the club's pre-season tour. The former Wimbledon and Chelsea midfielder spent yesterday at Selhurst Park discussing a possible move with Palace's chairman Simon Jordan and manager Trevor Francis.

The 35-year-old played 17 games for Leicester last season after a £1.6m move from Stamford Bridge. Wise earned about £30,000 a week at Filbert Street, though he is likely to accept much less if given the chance to return with Palace, who have signed Birmingham's striker Dele Adebola on a free transfer.

Back in London, gotta be better than Fester.
