Too bad after this week it goes up against shows on 2 other networks at the same time I'll be watching instead.

And what's up with Garbage's lead singer having a role?

Monday night this season (as well as Sunday night) would suck without TiVo, I agree, but you'd rather watch Gossip Girl, Deal or No Deal, or Dancing with the Stars over Sarah Connor? (I hope to God you don't mean CBS' sitcoms) Different strokes, I guess...

Chuck and How I Met Your Mother over Sarah Connor.

thought it was a good season premiere. i really liked the symbolism as john helped cameron out of the car and then he lit the fire with the two of them on one side and the other three on the other.

two other things:
- when cam was in between the two trucks pleading to john not to pull her chip... i was actually rooting for john not to pull it. i can't help it. summer glau does that emotional stuff so well, i just wanted to reach out and give her a hug and tell her it would be ok.:D

- thankfully, shirley manson will at least be tolerable as a terminator. i wouldn't be able to take her if she was just a human baddie.

I really enjoyed the premier and loved seeing Shirley Manson. I see she's toned down her accent a bit.

And there seemed to be a bit of a shamed look on the other three's faces when he lit the fire.

Agreed that Summer Glau does that very well (and I definitely want to hug her too :D ), but also not surprised that John eventually pulled the chip anyway. Wasn't there an episode last season in which Cameron herself emphasized the Terminators' lack of true emotions? If so and if John remembered that, then that must've helped him in the act (as hard as it still must've been for him).

Funny thing is, she was the only character in the whole episode (besides Cromartie's "we'll see" near the very end) who didn't exactly speak naturally, but her speech was instead a bit stilted (or in the case of her big speech to the guy who stole the Turk for her, a bit unnaturally dramatic).

Once it was revealed that she's also a Terminator, it made perfect sense why. Besides, it makes sense that Skynet would've sent more liquid Terminators into the past as well as conventional ones.

Overall, a very good season premiere that literally picked up where last season's finale left off. I can't wait for next week! :)

Has she had other acting gigs before (other than in music videos) or is this her first?

Yes, and it does not seem that her (only?) mission is to terminate John Connor either.

Going further than that, what if Cromartie's job is to terminate John Connor, but he's really being used for the larger purpose of keeping John, Sarah, Cameron, and Reese on the run and away from a larger scheme...

Good. I'm glad I'm the only one that felt a little tug at the heartstring when Cameron was begging. But I was hoping that he'd pull the chip. I initially thought he was going to smash her head in with that pipe wrench. That would have been a tough scene to watch.

I'm not quite sure why the liquid shemator killed that board member. I'm guessing they needed a way to introduce her.

Was it me or did anyone else get tired of John's mom asking him if he was "Ok"? Mixed bag for me. I will probably give it another couple of espisodes to pan out. I really want to like the mom (can't remember her name) in a MILF way, but she doesn't seem to be cutting in the compeling acting department.

She was much better in 300. :D

yeah, it bothered me too, but i'm pretty sure it was supposed to... as well as bother john. he shaved his head now to show his mom that he's all grows up now.
*swinging shirt above head, standing on table* "he grows up and he grows up and he grows up!"

The scary thing is that would mean that Skynet (in the future) now knows that John, Sarah, Cameron and Reese aren't just simply on the run, but that they're now on the offensive to destroy Skynet before it's ever created.

Exactly. It appears that storywise, her constant asking was meant to eventually bother John (though she probably didn't mean for it to).
