The columns (and the bookies) continue to predict that AC will be fired, and replaced by someone like Bilic. It obviously has nothing to do with team results. He managed us out of relegation, we came 10th last year, and are 2 wins out of 3 so far.
But I have learned over the years that the bookies, especially English ones, are very smart, and have great connections and contacts! This has to be a conflict between AC and the West Ham board over policy; it seems clear that he opposed the Ferdinand deal, but they did it anyway.
Curbishley seems to be a competent manager, maybe not a great one, but he can only do the job with the tools he has. Whatever is going on at Upton Park, I have the feeling that he may be the scapegoat. And if changes are made like this, especially in mid-season, it invariably has a huge negative effect on the team.
I hope nothing happens until the end of the season, if indeed a change is made.
