It's that time of the season for a new top 10 thread.
Simple rule - don't criticize other people's lists if you haven't posted your own.

Going into the international break:

 1. Juventus
 2. Milan
 3. Chelsea
 4. Deportivo
 5. Valencia
 6. Real Madrid
 7. Monaco
 8. Manchester United
 9. Lazio
10. Stuttgart

Here's my top ten:

1. Milan
2. Juventus
3. Valencia
4. Real Madrid
5. Monaco
6. Arsenal
7. Stuttgart
8. Manchester United
9. Marseille
10. Real Sociedad

Hard to say after 5 or 6 who belongs, but I couldn't put Chelsea in there after losing at home to Besitkas in the Champs League.

Who here puts Manchester United and Real Madrid in the top 3 when neither tops their league and Man U recently lost to Stuttgart?

I put Real at number 3 - Mainly due to their Champions League play. They are 2-0-0 (+4) with wins against Marseille and Porto two teams several people have listed in their top 10

And Manchester's loss to Stuttgart was at Stuttgart, where they had even given up a goal all season. Manchester has 19 pts. on 8 matches. That means they have only dropped 5 pts in one of the toughest leagues in the world.

And for good measure let's look at your list -

Valencia #2 - Not even in CL
Bayer #5 - Not in CL, Not even in UEFA
Arsenal #6 - Got SPANKED, at home, by Inter in CL
Marseille #8 - Not 1st in league, got beaten by Real 4-2 in CL
Stuttgart #9 - Not first in league lost to Rangers in CL

Not that I'm disagreeing with you rankings but it's kind of funny how you rank teams highly who have the same flaws as Real and United.

Why don't you take a look at yourself before bashing other peoples' lists.

Why don't you take a look at yourself before bashing other peoples' lists. I'm not bashing anyone's list. I just think a team should be judged on form, not reputation. I'm questioning how these teams can be amongst the top 3 in the europe at the moment when they are not preforming to as high a standard as other teams.
So what if Real are in the Champions League and Valencia are not. Valencia just beat Real 2-0 and are first in the league!

Man United are second in their league and recently lost to Stuttgart, that should take them out of the top 3 surely, at the very least, shouldn't it?

Leverkusen are good right now as opposed to last year which is why they aren't in Europe, really dominating the Bundesliga (preformance wise).

I put Marseille because they are second in Ligue 1 and just got a 3-0 in Europe. Which is why I put Monaco as well, though I may need to switch the two around.

Even though Arsenal got found out in Europe, they still are going quite strong in England so they found space in the top ten.

There is method in my madness you see.

Taking from what you said, Marseille got beaten 4-2 by Real. Leverkusen are going well in Germany but lost 4-3 to Munich and have not played any of the other top teams and no European teams. Arsenal tied United and have not won a game in Europe (let alone scored a goal). United scored at Stuttgart - something no one else has done this year, hell they've only given up 3 goals all year (2 @ Rangers & 1 vs. United).

I think you're taking way too much from United and Real for a couple of losses and giving too much to teams who haven't actually beaten a lot of competition.
