Depends on the position of the free kick as well as the distance. It'll also depends on who starts the match.

My choice would be Mutu, Geremi and Huth (who was not in the list).

Yes, this is a problem since we lost Zola. Definitely not Veron who seems to waste free-kicks and corners. Huth when he is playing but I don't think he'll get that many starts. To float the ball into the box for a Crespo or a Jimmy I don't think you can do better than Duff. Lamps is also not too bad!

That is so true. I just don't see an able replacement, especially when CR is still keeping true to his rotational policy. Duff and Lamps being the few consistent starters, they might just get the nod for free kicks.

Huth.

Did you see his blast yesterday? Beautiful, driven knuckleballing menace that deflected off of Schwarzer. That was not a save, that was a deflection.

That's how I want all of my teams to take free kicks near the goal. You take a few like that, and you'll have some doubters in the wall. Its not up to the player taking the free kick to worry about the safety of someone daft enough to want to get closer than 10 yards away.

Bend it like Beckham? My a__e. Smash it like Huth!
