I was watching the "live" game between Arsenal and Liverpool on Fox Sports World. I though it was "live" as there was the "live" word on the top corner of the screen.
However, as I when to check other scores on www.livescore.com, I noticed they had already displayed the Arsenal Liverpool score as 1-1 with Edu scoring in the 33rd min while I was still watching the 25min on TV. At first I though the website had made a mistake but sure enough on the 33rd min, Edu scored.
How dare Fox Sports try to decieve the people like this. Now I wonder if it happens with the PPV games as well.

I can understand your frustration, but why were you even bothering to check out other scores when every other game today starts a few hours from now?

Well, I didn't know that. Just wanted to see what's going on around the soccer world.

so you had an 8 minute delay... i think you may find there was a very short delay in the UK as well to give producers a few seconds to edit out any chanting if needed...
from what i hear sky where delaying all the live feeds to make sure it went out all over the world "clean"

Yeah I heard about that one. Thought they're going to do that real time. Oh well.
Anyway, a few mins wouldn't kill but was just peeved that I got the score online 1st while watching a supposedly "live" match.

that's true. they do try to edit the chants, but half the time when i watch sky sports (don't watch fox sports world, live in england) i can't even understand the chanting due to stupid announcers never shutting up.

no but on interactive you can switch between commentary, fanzone, and crowd audio...
think they where avoiding anyone picking it up just on crowd audio...
i understand it was a very slight delay (maybe just 20 seconds or so) but longer on the oversees feeds..

As much as i hate Murdoch, thank our lucky stars for FSW i am not mad at getting those games in the U.S. at all.
I must say i always watch games with my finger hovering above the mute button,as i don't like to hear the scores in other games .I love the element of surprise.

Well, well...what a bunch of dicks. Losing money and bringing you a match you would never see elsewhere, and they don't have the decency to show less than an eight minute delay?? How dare them!! Let's all boycott the channel.

Maybe you live an area where gravity pull point is the highest which causes the coverage to be delay.

Kind of off topic, but does anyone elses FSW flick off for a second and then flick back on in a different resolution so it makes it look like your TV is too small?

I think actually there just using it as a really roundabout way of moaning about eastenders being scrapped in the US :)
