I want to say thumbs down for FSW's heavy handed insistance that the US Open Cup be held at Giants Stadium instead of New Soldier Field.
Giants Stadium:
Field Turf
Maximum American Football lines
10k fans (max)
New Soldier Field:
Grass
Minimum American Football lines
40K fans (This game would have been part of a double headed w/ Mexico v. Uruguay)

Thank you FSW and USSF for giving the USFA Cup Final to Giants Stadium so we can go to the game! than you. :) Hope we see some adverts on FSW about the final! Maybe the USSF could take out an add on FSW to advertise the game and tickets?

Because it would OPEN for a Mexico/Uraguay FRIENDLY.
And that doesn't give the USOC the respect it deserves.
I'm not just saying this beaucse it's here and I'm going. I would be equally upset if they tried to pull that crap in Giants Stadium.

I agree. Playing the Open Cup FINAL, in front of a bunch of Mexico-Uruguay fans would be a disgrace.
I'd rather have 8,000 faithful fans there, than 40,000 fans who could care less and won't even be paying attention.

it'll be interesting to see how many people show up.
Geez, yet another crybaby Chicagoon fan. I actually applaud the USSF and Fox World for having the balls to play the match as the main feature rather than give in to money alone and allow the countries oldest soccer competitions final play second billing to some friendly.
Haven't reading all the complaining from the Flamers by the lake, I'm hoping NY claim their first ever trophy.
