I think that it is hilarious that fans of other clubs get more excited over Man United winning ******** all last year, losing to Zala today, Keane's bad words, etc, than they do when their club does something. Oh wait, I forgot, virtually no other club does a damn thing. Liverpool have their Plastic Treble and glory days of the 70's and 80's, but they act as though they won the real Treble whenever there's a bad tidbit in the news about United or when United have a bad result. It's too bad that fans like that can't get on with their own club's happenings and focus on how they can improve, and I'm not saying that all fans of Liverpool or any other club are like this (but I'm sure each club has supporters like this, including Man United, which is sad all the way around).

Arsenal is the only club that has had any recent success in England and we don't see too many of their supporters getting all giddy over the tiniest misfortune to United. Instead they worry about their own team and how they will get on. The think about how they are going to win the league, not how Man United is going to lose it.

But what does that say about the power and respect that Man United have? If Newcastle had lost 1-0 away today, would people be worked up into such a frenzy? It would be a bit of a surprise, but people wouldn't be in a frenzy over it. It is almost to the point where other clubs' supporters would rather see Man United fail than their own clubs succeed, which is disappointing on so many levels.
