1) small box keep-away warmup (10v10 w/asst. coaches) for 20 mins

2) warmup exercises & stretching 10 mins (keepers breakaway for keeper specific drills afterward)

3) toss, kick/chest-back drill in rotation for 5 mins

4) about 40yrd long field used for 9v9 no keepers/goals. possession transitioning across the end-line scores. drill lasted 15 mins during which Herdsman had the inside of his right knee knocked badly enough by Carrieri that he left practice (on his own, limping lightly).

5) about 50yrd long field used for 9v9 w/keepers and nets for 15 mins.

6) stretching warm-down

Practice lasted 1hr 15mins. Rick Titus (I think) didn't practice and instead jogged for the first 45 mins (injured?). No Pibe, Garlick, nor Spencer.

And for this you get paid $40K or better (OK, OK, they have player appearances to go to in the afternoon and you have a match on Saturday). Even if you're an A-League call-up signing a minimum contract, you'll get $27K (if my memory of the current MLS salary structure is accurate). Pretty cool job (but you'd probably need an education since you'll need to make a real living when you're legs give out -- unless you simply plan on being a professional coach).

Zar, I think that was Musa that wasn't in the scrimmage, I think Titus was mixing it up with the rest of the boys...

And I believe these soccer players make a lot of money coaching and participating in extra-curricular/soccer related activities. From what I understand...

Yup, you are right. Went out there today, too, and realized my error. Pibe was out there, Herdsman was running, and Garlick was even doing fitness drills (but still has some kind of cast). Today's session went for 1.5hrs and included Galaxy specific comments from coach Hanky.

I wouldn't be surprised. So you're just reinforcing how sweet life is for them...
