FSC and FSE have posted their schedules for next week. More games on FSC but FSE is showing Ukraine-Belarus live at 6am CST, whereas FSC has that on delay. Here's what we have so far:

The 2 Koreas were supposed to meet in North Korea in an earlier match, but North Korea refused to play the South's national anthem, and thus the game was moved to a neutral site. So that could happen again.

What is confusing everyone is that WCQ rights is for their HOME games. (which is why even grabbing rights for teams like Liechtenstein makes sense.. although I'm sure it was part of a package...because it gives you the rights to show the road matches of other teams in the group...in this case including matches against Russia and Germany.)

GOL TV have updated their schedule for Saturday but list the Spain - Bosnia qualifier as "LIVE" at 4:45pm ET. The problem is that the game starts at 4:00pm ET. Most likely a 45-minute delayed broadcast.

If my daughter didn't have football practice and a game this weekend, I would not leave my house. Anyone who says soccer coverage in the US sucks, needs to do the math on these lists. In the US, we're getting 100% CONMEBOL, a huge percentage of UEFA, top nations from AFC, and top CONCACAF games. The only thing that is missing is CAF. Of course that doesn't account for the quality of announcing, giving away scores, etc. but the amount of games is amazing.

I give up trying to figure out what GOL TV is doing. Their schedule insists on listing the Liechtenstein - Germany game 45 minutes BEFORE it kicks off, while the Spain - Armenia game 45 minutes AFTER it kicks off. I give up trying to figure out what GOL TV is doing. Their schedule insists on listing the Liechtenstein - Germany game 45 minutes BEFORE it kicks off, while the Spain - Armenia game 45 minutes AFTER it kicks off. So my listings for them below are my best estimates and mainly based on their Canadian site which makes a little more sense. A couple of kickoff time changes in CONCACAF as well listed below:

Gol also has the Wales game listed on DirecTV's on-screen guide as Live from 9-11 and 11-1 so who knows what's going on with them. I had my DVR all set, covering games that will only air one time with the live broadcasts and then CONCACAF has to go and monkey with everything. I don't trust that JA-MEX will actually end on time, but have no choice since the USA game starts at 7 and Setanta has a one-time only game airing at the same time. If only DirecTV would make a 4 recordings at once DVR, I would be set.

If my daughter didn't have football practice and a game this weekend, I would not leave my house. Anyone who says soccer coverage in the US sucks, needs to do the math on these lists.
Well, I can easily see some poor souls would say:

"Man, if it's not on ESPN2, then it's not on TV. ESPN2 is the only channel we poor foreign students get. Setanta? what's it? GolTV? the landlord doesn't allow it (and I signed a contract of 14 years that I am locked on ESPN2). FSC? it's not on my cheapo analog cable. I can only watch soccer on ESPN2. So all soccer games must be on ESPN2 for them to count. Games on NBC, ABC, ESPN, etc. don't even count"


The only thing that is missing is CAF.
If you are really interested in CAF games, get a MPEG2/FTA system. The satellite on 97W has lots of African channels. Back in 2005, I got a lot of quals from Sudan, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, etc., mostly the Arabic countries from North Africa.

Of course, most of the Asian quals can be found on the Persian, Korean and Arabic channels too.

I have that on my radar but at this point I'm in an apartment and had to bust out FCC laws/codes (?) to get my landlord to let me put a DirecTV dish on the roof. One of these days I will decide that multiple dishes on my roof will outweigh not having to pay to fix stuff.....
