Please, select 10 teams that you think were the best in history of Champion's League. I will pick my 10 later.

I think you're missing Bayern München 1974-1976.

obviously its madrid, but they played as one of the top sides until the mid sixties, not the start of them. similarly, milan went to another ec final in 95, why cut them off at 93. MU went to the semis of the ec in 97 and 2002, why put their lifespan at 98-01. no bayern munich as has been mentioned, inter were beaten finalists in 67, but you end their cycle at 66. and if you include dortmunds 97 winning side there would be so many other sides that were more devastating or unbeatable than them that only tasted very brief success, such as barcelona in 92 or 2006, or even MU of 2007-9, semi finals followed by winners, breaking records for winning i think 13 games in a row at home, or someother crazy statistic.

anyhoo, i have too much time on my hands today, but real mardid of the 50s and 60s is clearly still the team to beat in terms of historical record, ajax of the 70s is the side to overcome in terms of innovation, and MU of 99 is, of course, the best team in the history of sports.

I have never seen any team playing better than Ajax Amsterdam in 1994-1996. They were almost undefeatable. And I am not saying that because I am Dutch.
After that I choose AC Milan in the late eighties early nineties and Barcelona in the early nineties. I was also impressed by Paris Saint German in 1994/1995 but I think that was an one day fly.

i think Steaua Bucuresti 1986-1989 deserves to be nominated

Champions league holders 1986
European supercup 1987
CL semifinal 1988
CL final 1989

i don't think we are in the top 10 but if Celtic or Dortmund with one trophy got nominated then why shouldn't we? we played some fantastic football in that period and clearly dominated Europe as the results show. my choice for the first 2 teams are real madrid 1955-1960 and Ajax 1970-1973.

The list is quite weird anyway... the obmission of 70s Bayern was mentioned several times, but also if Dortmund 1997 gets nominated, so should Hamburg 1980-1983 (CL final 80, UC final 82, CL title 83), as far as I know the early 90s are regarded as a great time for Barcelona (cwc '89, cwc final '91, CL '92, CL final '94). Personally, I also think that Mönchengladbach in the late 70s would be worth of a nomination, when compared to one or the other nominated team, however they "only" reached semifinal or final 3 times in succession ('76-'78 - then won UC '79 and lost in UC finals '75 and '80) and never won the European Cup, so non-Germans would probably object.

PS: I know that strictly speaking we shouldn't recognize UECA Cup and CWC archievements for the "strongest CL teams", but they still show that the team was also good when it didn't win the league :) And a team like Real '00 wouldn't have qualified if it were still only Champions at the time.

He has been doing the same polls since '04 and he intentionally leaves Bayern out all the time. He's from Holland, if you are wondering.

Then, my vote goes to Bayern Munich 1998-2001. :)

The Green Bay Packers with Vince Lombardi are the greatest team in the history of sports. Them or the Yankees with either Joe McCarthy or Casey Stengal. A one year wonder dont even belong on the list because if that were the case then it would be the 85 Chicago Bears.

I beg to differ. Surely it's got to be Brisbane Lions 2001-04 under Leigh Matthews. ;)

Let's see ... there's like 15 options, and we can select 10 out of that... hmm... this is just like the MLS playoffs.
