Greetings Chelsea fans. I am a big fan of Crespo and havent really seen anything on whether or not he is slated to be a regular starter or more of a super sub... obviously with all the changes and loads of talent, it is confusing....
more importantly ;) I picked him up on my fantasy team and need to know if he is going to frequent action... the first game he came on as a sub, and scored 2, but didnt play last week... I figured he would be a regular... He kicked ass at Milan
Any insight would be great

I don't think anyone is guaranteed to start for Ranieri except for Cudicini. Crespo is not going to start every game, if that's what you're asking.
However, I think he's going to get as many starts in Europe as Claudio can give him. If your league is strictly a premiership one, it might be rough going - I think he'll be coming off the bench in quite a few domestic games.

I think the whole problem for Crespo is the unexpected return to good form-scoring wise-of Hasselbaink.
Jimmys all round team play has never been one of his strong points, no matter the team he was in, but, he has been scoring goals and it is awfully hard to put a player on the bench that is in scoring form.
I would say that the original plan was to have both Mutu and Crespo as the main strikering force up the front-but Jimmy isn't co-operating ;)
If he goes a few games without scoring he most likely will have to make way for Crespo.
Then it may be a case of Crespo not looking back.

thanks guys.. I ended up selling RVN (when he was off to a slow start) to pony up some cash for Veron, Makelele, and Crespo....
Looks like I might sell Crespo for a regular starter..
