Interesting stuff to see. He looked very smart indeed, didn't like the speculation or being put on the spot at all, but certainly wasn't hiding away from it.
I get the overriding opinion that he is definitely interested if we approach him in the right way and wants to prove himself capable of handling a bigger spotlight. He played it nicely, milking the win over Liverpool and the TV spotlight, but not coming across as begging for the job. What the chairman and board can't afford to be is amateurish or arrogant (tough I know), which unfortunately they were when they handled sacking Graham to replace him for Hoddle, and also how they handled sacking Hodd. A phone call from the chairman while on holiday in the Carribbean is not a smart move at all.
Personally I think Curbs is looking like the best candidate right now and we should make him our top choice. The only way I would change that is if the board have someone brilliant lined up for certain and who hasn't been reported yet. O'Neill I wouldn't bother with, I think we all know that he is looking to play us for either more transfer money at Celtic or as a tool to provoke a move from Liverpool. Time to bury that link.
Curbs is unproven at the highest level, but then aren't most managers at some point? It's worth giving him a go if all we have to choose from is journeymen, David Pleat and pie-in-the-sky hopes of an Old Firm messiah.

Curbs can go for a £1m
By PAT SHEEHAN
ALAN CURBISHLEY can leave Charlton for £1million.
The Valley boss has been installed as 3-1 favourite by bookies to take over at Tottenham following the sacking of Glenn Hoddle.
There is a compensation clause in Curbishley’s Charlton contract which limits the amount payable.
But Spurs insist they are in no hurry to replace Hoddle and are happy to let director of football David Pleat take control for the time being.
Curbs has been in charge of Charlton for 12 years and been linked with several other high-profile jobs, including those at both Aston Villa and Blackburn.
He admitted: “I’m under contract at Charlton but Alan Pardew was also under contract, happy and comfortable at Reading.
“Suddenly all that changed. You never know what is going to happen in football. It’s so volatile.
“I have been coming here for years, and you can become part of the furniture.
“I am at a club where I have to work within a comparatively small budget and make sure the business stays solvent.
“It would be nice some time to have the other option — to be able to go out and get the sort of players I cannot have or afford at the moment.”
There are suggestions that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will open talks with Celtic later this week aimed at securing a deal which will see Martin O’Neill take charge at White Hart Lane next term.
The former Leicester and Wycombe manager, who still owns a house in Buckinghamshire, is said to be attracted by such a proposition provided personal terms are attractive enough.
But O’Neill insists the only dialogue he has had with Tottenham was when rejecting their attempts to prise away strikers Henrik Larsson and Craig Beattie from Celtic Park in the summer.
Ian Wright has defended Hoddle against the players who have lined up to criticise him.
A string of Spurs stars past and present have attacked Hoddle since he was sacked nine days ago.
But former Crystal Palace and Arsenal striker Wright, who worked under Hoddle with England, insists the critics are just jealous.
Players such as Tim Sherwood, Steffen Freund and Gus Poyet have had a go.
But Wright said: “Glenn was a great player and I respect that.
“I trained with England when he was the coach. He was better than many of the players and the ones with big egos couldn’t handle it and felt threatened by his ability.”
Brazil have snubbed White Hart Lane to play their friendly against Jamaica at Leicester’s Walkers Stadium on October 12.

Would you call Curbs less proven the O'Neil? Celtics main compeition in Scotland is Rangers and... well, Rangers. That makes it a lot easier for last years run in the UEFA cup. Curbs has done a good job at Charlton without much cash. If he had enough money to have picked up a player like DiCanio a couple years ago and maybe a nice defensive aquisition like Bruce got with Upson and the Addicks maintain some of that great form they've had at times and end up in UEFA.

And that.. is the truth. Or was.
Replace "England" with "Tottenham" and then include the following.. Sherwood, Freund, Thatcher.. etc.
I saw Curbs too, he didn't like Ron Fatkinson's "hypothetically Alan..." question. His face was a picture, he looked shocked at the question.
There was an interview with Pleaty too, he said that he didn't know who the new manager would be.. it could be a foreign one, an english one, a fat one, a big one, a young one or an old one.
Thanks David ;)
