Time to move our season discussion to a season thread!

Probably too early for him to cover the points expense, but I'm willing to sacrifice 4 penalty points to dump Walcott before he becomes a "project" and pick up Owen before anybody else does. I'm trying to resolve the googlemail problem but if I can't get to the page to update, be aware of this change to LSG's roster:

Owen did me well down the stretch last year. Not sure if you find comfort or not in picking up former Dawgs.... :D

coach blech fights off the mainstream instinct to plug in a.young as captain against stoke (albeit on the road). fingers crossed that gerrard gets more involved in the attack with alonso in the lineup.

also, great consideration given to favoring the homefield goalie, but gomes stays on the bench with howard on the road against promoted west brom. again, fingers crossed that the coach doesn't get in the way of the players trying to do their jobs.

although as i think about it further, in the old days, a 95th minute winner on a strike like that would also be worth 3 bonus points regardless of how he played the rest of the game, right? i'm kind of feeling cheated now :(

If you had watched it live (I did), you wouldn't -- Gerrard was awful until the 95th..

Another quick transfer this week to pick up Traore for Hreidarsson. Tried to update it on the googledocs spreadsheet but this being my first try, I'm not sure I did it right. Someone let me know if you login and still see Hreid.

Is everyone else updated on there? This will be a great tool if everyone uses it.

For what it's worth, I'm still seeing it as Hreidarsson currently, so I'm not sure ???

Yeah, strange for me. Made the change, saved, but then went on and saw Hreid. back again. I don't get it...

Ingro's team shows Hreidarsson until I log in to change it. Then it says Traore. I went back to the non-edit screen and reloaded the page fresh, rather than from cache, still says Hreidarsson. So it's not yet published, my puny brain thinks.

To test, I made a small typo change to my team to Glen Johnson's name, making it 'Johnson, G' rather than 'Johnson.' Then I went to Publish > Republish document (auto publish unticked). Now when I reload I see both my 'Johnson, G' edit and Ingro's Traore pickup.

So the upshot is probably that you always need to go to Publish > Republish document.

Unless nobody else is seeing Traore and Johnson, G, only me. :D

No, although you can always claim to have taken the "other" Traore, so at least you're getting 2-for-1 for your money on this particular gamble......

And, yes, I'm now seeing the change for Traore (and the update of the date), although I take it from the above that's djang's doing, not yours. This googledocs thing is new to me. I note that I've merely hit the "save" button when exiting when I've made changes and they have shown up, so I don't get what has to be published or how that works.
