Any ideas on starting strikers? I'm wondering if we'll see Mutu and Crespo start together?

I would say that it's all but certain that Crespo will start as he was "rested" on Saturday.
Also, i think we'll see Mutu alongside of him.
Jimmy is knocking in the goals, but, his all round team play is again non existant. Now, don't get me wrong, thats what a striker is ment to do, but, if you can have a striker that can do both, and i think Mutu can, why not play him?
At a guess......

I'm guessing Mutu and Crespo will start up front. Wins for Chelsea and Lazio would put us in a very good position.
*Final score from Moscow was Lokomotiv 0-0 Arsenal. Only 1 point so far for them:D

I'd like to see mutu and crespo up front for a game. I think Lampard should sit and think about gifting goals to the opposition. Veron? I dunno. Can't figure him out. He created the goal against Aston Villa but he just seems out of sorts at times. Play him and see what happens. Play Makalele for sure. Duff for sure. Geremi or Gronks. Play Gallas and Terry (although I think we'll see Gallas and Desailly). We'll probably see Melchiot and Bridge although I'm thinking Johnson and Babayaro would be nice. Impossible to guess the team with so many players and Ranieri juggling.

That is an odd lineup. I guess we're going to be looking for a lot of offensive runs from Gallas and Baba, without Duff and Gronks.

Subs: Ambrosio, G Johnson, Hasselbaink, J Cole, Duff, Bridge, Gudjohnsen
No Gronkjaer on the bench, just the Duffer to rip down the flanks if needed.
My local bar is showing the match tape-delayed tonight so I am taking off. Good luck to the boys and those of you listening in.

According to Big Blue it is listed as a 4-4-2 but I certainly wouldnt be surprised if it plays more like a 3-5-2 or a 4-3-1-2, especially considering how much Veron likes to play inside.

Jesus Christ.....simply have to put those (many) chances away.
Still, it can, and often is, a game of two halves.
Lets see what happens next.

Mutu and Crespo are now off for Duff and JFH.
Ranieri may be a tactical genius, but his subs are clearly going over my head. Why take off a striker for a midfielder when you're 2 goals down? I hope he knows what he's doing.
Oh, and ManU are a goal down at Stuttgart.
