After viewing most of the recent european games I'm of the opinion that all of them could qualify for the next round. Arsenal/Celtic were the only teams to lose, but with their superior skill and quality I'm sure they'll progress. . .

Arsenal got an easy group. If this round is moved back a month or so, they might struggle in the Russian winter. They should be fine now. On paper, Celtic can beat Lyons and Anderlecht, but they ain't that of a sure thing. The Rangers are as much doubt.

After watching 2 matchdays I'm of the opposite opinion. Arsenal are in real trouble the way the are playing. Chelsea looked horrible against Besiktas. Manchester United's backline were torched against Stuttgart. Rangers and Celtic will both probably have to go down to the last MD to see if they will qualify.

Looking at it logically, all the English clubs will probably qualify. But the way they are all playing they will have extreme difficulty getting past the second round.

What exactly is easy about Inter and Kiev? That is a tough double to crack and Lokomotiv is tough at home. This is a tougher group if you take away the anti-Eastern European bias that many have.

True.

Kiev could easily have beaten Inter at the san siro.

Inter are worse at home because they are supposed to attack, I think Arsenal will get something there on the counter attack.

Eastern European teams are often very poor away from home though, the results speak for themselves. At home they do pretty well.

I think the Eastern Europeans tended to underperform away. The weather will be their advantage later in the winter.
