And by the way if you think Ortega's dive in 1996, ( not excusing it ) was the worst ever in futbol , how much futbol do you watch?? Ever watch the Italians or the current player of the year C. Ronaldo, I just think that because these examples are primarly with NIGERIA'S games it has created a kind of bias in you.

If we are going to start allegations, then why don't we also ask if Nigerians are really all 23 years old and under? Does anyone know really when these guys were born?? Kanu looks younger than some of these guys...

There is the little matter of proving that the Nigerian players are indeed above 23. Until you come up with such proof (we shall be very happy to receive it), the assumption is that the players are indeed U-23 except Peter Odemwingie who is 27. Anyway, back to the diving issue, it is quite clear, at least in games between Nigeria and Argentina that the Argentines go down a little too easily. If Nigeria were such a rought, rash tackling team, how come we have never received any red cards in the World Cup or Olympics (at least I cant remember any)? Infact the last time a Nigerian player received a red card in a major tournament was at the 2002 African Nations Cup. Argentina are the favourites and are very capable of winning. I want Nigeria to win but if we dont Id rather be talking about the wonderful Messi goal than another dive that led to a penalty. I hope we have a clean explosive game.

I can except this post, much more accurate and relevant, my issue was with the accusation that Argentina is the leading example of play acting wich is just not a true accusation, I can think of a few other countries that use it much more frequently.

To be fair to Argentina there are countries with worse reputations but how often has Nigeria played those countries and how often have key games for Nigeria turned on diving allegations? It is because of past experiences with Argentina that some Nigerians seem to think Argentina is the worst country when it comes to diving. It is an undeserved reputation when you have the likes of C Ronaldo and the Italians but tell that to the average football fan in Lagos.

Maybe so and this is precisely how stereotypes begin, no??:(

I wish I could tell you, but I'm not sure myself. I thinks it's at 9 p.m. Friday Pacific time, but I don't want to trust John Paul Delacamera on that. He is a master at making inaccurate statments. Can anyone help us?

Guys ... I'm a little confused too... what time is this game on?

Soccernet has it listed on today's live scores.. but it say 5 UK time and then there's a note that say 23/8?

I'm assuming it's on tomorrow (23rd August) @ 5am UK time no? That would be 8 am Abu Dhabi time... something to wake up to on a Saturday. :p

I guess for you guys in America - it is tonight (22nd).

pretty sure it is 9:00 PM pacific standard time and 12:00 AM eastern time. So on the west coast it is friday evening and on the east coast it is technically saturday morning. You can convert to GMT and other times based on this.

Excellent! So it's basically 12 hours from now? I just saw the result to Brazil-Belgium flash up so I thought I'd missed it (the bronze and gold medal matches for the womens football matches were right after each other, not a day apart).

Good luck to both teams tomorrow ... or tonight, depending on where you are LOL.

How about for those of us on the West Coast. Anyone now if it'll be live out here (9pm) or will it be tape delayed? Thanks.

cnbc in the states is showing the match live 9:00 PM pacific 12:00 AM eastern

telemundo is also showing the match live with an hour pregame show
- im not sure if telemundo west will be tape delayed 3 hours like it was this morning, as I caught the bronze match at 7:00 AM pacific time on telemundo west, whereas telemundo east showed it live at 4:00 AM

In canada the game will be on live on cbc. Hope this helps everybody.
