god ************ing damn it.

What the ************ is wrong with Veron? Was he even ************ing playing this match?

How in the hell do you ************ on a ball so bad that you ************ it over from 6 yards, Ruud?

Son of a god damn bitch.

I'm sure that everyone else around here is going to have fun about this result. But it won't matter really, unless we screw it up at home as well. Hopefully Rio is fit for the return leg. And is Wes Brown ever going to get fully fit and stay injury free? He has so much potential but he is always hurt.

This certainly does suck, but we're not out yet. I'm sure that the Stretford End will respond for the home leg.

As for now, I'm going to try and push this result to the back of my memory and look forward to the WBA game this weekend.

Please allow me to be the first one to say:

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

But I'm not a malicious Liverpool fan so I'm sure you'll be fine back at OT in the second leg.

I'm amazed at the idiocy of so many fans....Utd and non Utd....first of all, this isn't a joke, they have a 1-0 lead and an early flukish away goal could EASILY lead to the UEFA cup.
But onto the game at hand...I know that most Man U fans will just say "well, Veron and Phil Nelville were on the pitch together, no wonder we lost", well thats complete BS. In the first half Nelville and Veron were the most dangerous men on the pitch for Man U, Nelville repeatedly came down the side with the ball and created chances. Veron was called "the most dangerous player on the pitch" by the Man U announcers half way through the 2nd half.
Who is to blame for the outcome? How about someone finally call Ruud for his consistent offside state? He added little/nothing to the attack today and often ruined it by running offsides. Beckham was horid and probably should have gotten a second yellow twice for unfair challanges, Giggs was dangerous a couple of times, but not the type of performance needed by a player of his caliber. Keane didn't add much either, he seemed to do more yelling at his players then anything else. The question of the night shouldn't be how they got a goal, it was a fluke play, Man U held possession the whole half, stuff like that happens. The question is why the hell couldn't Man U put one in the net.

And two quick goals for United could easily lead the the CL proper. Are we just supposed to give up and pack it in?

You're right, we obviously don't have the class to even think about coming back from a 1-0 first leg. We're absolutely done for. This is the beginning of the end for United. We will become the next City. It's over.

While this result is not a joke, it is inconceivable to think that United do not have a chance. I do acknowledge that we could go out in this stage of the competition, but that does not mean that we can't overcome the hole that we were in. Even an early goal by Zala doesn't mean we're out. It's not unheard of for United to score 3 goals in a match and only give up 1.

BTW, where did people get a chance to see this match Stateside?

That wasn't the point of my post but I guess I can see where you get it from.....the point was that most prior posts were like, "well, ok, we lost, time to come back home and beat the hell out of them". Man U is still probably heavily favored to go through, but it isn't the joke that most people viewed it as going in.

I understand what you were saying. I think that most of us on here are in a little bit in shock over this result. But I'm glad that the supporters of the club do have the attitude that, "Yeah, we ********ed it up in Hungary, but we'll kick the hell out of 'em at home." I would be much more disappointed if the club's supporters had more of a defeatist attitude. That would make this loss so much harder than it already is.

The answer is quite simple, Sir Alex Ferguson isn't coaching the way he used to and that is why we aren't getting the results we are used to. He has completely changed in the way he manages his money, players, and game. First off, he abandoned the 442 for the 154, he plays the game differently in England then he does in Europe, he doesn't keep the iron fist on his players like he used to. they spoke or got out of line there was hell to pay, well hell is no more and he lets they do what they want. SAF should have retired when he did, now that he hasn't retired the whole thing is ************. Not to mention he has blown the frugality of ManUtd by spending shitloads of money on very few players while not letting many home grown players make it though. THis is not how the dynasty was built.

The BBC announcers said that he was anonymous throughout most of the whole game. But judging by our scoreline, I wouldn't doubt that both were true somewhat anyways....

Go back to the eurp 4-4-1-1? would that keep Ruud on side more often ( i know thats horrible logic, but...)? West Brom match...should O'shea move to the outside and let Silvestre play center?
What club wants the lesser Neville?
How poor does the d' have to get for the club to cough up more cash on Escude, since it seems that everyone except Rennes is ready for this switch to happen?

We have good players, we don't need to keep spending more and more money to get unproductive players, just fscking look at Veron and Forlan. All the money and what have they done besides date models? NO, we don't need Escude,

we need Gary, and wes healthy, john 0;shea playing more and hell, bring up May.

We have a team capable of winning everything in site, we need a coach that will light the fire in the players again, give them something to care about rather then showing them that you can spends lots of money and do ************ with it.
