I'm typically slow on noticing this sort of thing, but did they take signatures away from us?

Is that part of the new "premier membership" package?

I fear for the future of BS if they start removing things like the ability for users to have sig lines.

Anybody know anything about this?

Um, there was a decision made to remove all the "bells and whistles" during the World Cup because it slowed the servers down. This pared down version was retained after the World Cup due to higher volumes.

In order to reward those users who were willing to pay a subscription service, BS.com decided to offer the premium membership. This membership does include signatures and avatars as well as many other perks. The money from the subscriptions goes to maintaining and upgrading the servers so that the site works properly, especially after the higher demand due to the World Cup.

I noticed that a bit late myself. However I've "manufactured" my old signature. If I could just figure out how to bootleg my old avatar that I spent hours creating...

Geez man those disappeard ages ago. ;)

The avatars and sigs were fun luxuries that I can do without. The ability to post is all that's really necessary anyway.

I still don't like the decision however. I mean how much extra bandwidth or whatever could a few extra lines take up?

Thumbs down.
