Nigeria look really good, it was a very efficient performance against CIV. We completely shut out the best attacking team in the tournament. Gervinho and Kalou were almost invisible. A very well organized team. Hopefully they stay focused against Belgium and I have very little doubt they will be playing for the Gold. If we make the final, I think Brazil will be easier to beat, but I want Argentina for revenge of the 2005 U20 WC final, where they needed 2 penalties to beat us.

yes there seems to be quite a little rivalry between the 2 countries, we've also lost 2 very close WC games as well. Anyways we both have games ahead of us, so lets not look too far ahead right now.

Right, but having a rematch in the final for that one which was in an olympic game final too, would be cool.

The '96 Olympic semi-final between Brazil and Nigeria was the most enjoyable soccer match I've ever attended.

I am going to guess 9:00 AM again like the Argentina - Netherlands game. I am hoping Universal HD will carry the game as it did before. Very difficult to find out if this is true.

Well that was a bit of a meltdown, expected a little better and the ref was a little quick with the cards. Still the best team won. Also kind of puts the "who was physical" debate to rest in the Cameroon - Brazil game.
How many players will miss the bronze medal contest now?

For Argentina, Pareja will be the only one missing the match he got his second yellow today. A real pity he had a fantastic tournament.

I guess it's only the "beautiful game" if you're winning. When you're getting beat like a circus monkey, it quickly becomes the dirty game.
Nigeria is no walk over and Argentina better bring their "A" game

Lucas, Thiago Neves and Breno won't be playing in the bronze medal match. I think Ronnie will probably run back home to Europe.

I'm glad Argentina won that game. Brazil has become so unattractive to watch. And that was a pretty classes display at the end. What happened to them? The quality of the players seems like it is still there. But the team plays like Uruguay now.

If he really did that'd be a shame and kind of disgraceful. :o
Now that we've got the typical over-hyped match over, I am really looking forward to the last 2 games. The finalists both blew their opponents away, but the "runners up" have still looked very good throughout the tourny. I wonder if the bronze wouldn't mean more to Belgium than Brazil though?

liked in 1996, Argentina takes on Nigeria, and Brazil likely will win the bronze.
