There's a new sticky going up, something this board has lacked and would be a nice addition. The thread is an attempt to cover the history of the club and is going up one piece of a time due to the size of the task.

As it's going to be a locked and sticky thread (which will be periodically added to) I'm setting up this thread for any comment or input. I'll also use this thread to let you know when new material has been added.

Hope you enjoy reading it and keep an eye out for new stuff.

We should have a whole separate subforum for it like Le Arse and Manure do!

As you'll see from my intro to the main thread - it appears this is the case :)

I would suggest adding a map as some of our "newer" supporters may not be as familiar with the geographical locations of Grimsby, Plymouth and Walsall.

Pretty sure it was Fred Parker that was bitten by the dog, not Pearson.

Never knew teams besides 'pool, L'Arse, and Manure had any history to speak of. :D

Good thread, interesting read for sure.

So, um, when's the next bit coming out?

I'm waiting on my source material to be sent for the UK. There's only so much information I can glean from the web and I want to avoid Wikipedia as far as possible.

This book I've had for nearly 20 years is a goldmine and should help me build on the first post. My dad is reluctant to send it though as it's worth over $200 now!

I have a draft but I'm not happy with it as it's too scanty right now and you, the fans, deserve better :D

hey KDB, great idea, the info thread. my first brush with chels was when jfh and ta flo were on the team, gus poyet, graeme le saux as well. hell, i think babayaro and melchiot, but that's been a while, and my beer soaked newdle hasn't the greatest retention rate. so, this will be a great read, i'm sure. well done, and thanks.:)
