Did this one quickly, a can't lose. If he loses his spot to Bale then so be it, he'll be my 5th defender...but at this cost and from what I saw v. Boro I had to have him
Bettermirror:
Player OUT: David Edgar - 4.0 - Newcaslte - D
Player IN: Assou-Ekkoto - 4.5 - Tottenham - D
bank savings: 1.0

after the way Spurs defended today i couldn't care less if Bale replaces him or not because i'll be replacing Bale before next weeks matches.
chances of clean sheets are virtually nil.

ya, tough for me to get points from a 5th defender anyway...
well well well, foot of the table after the first day of matches. saving grace? 7 players left tomorrow who could collect me points.
Most irking thing about the day? Watching someone I had a serious thought of drafting scoring today....this prem season should be a very fun one!

Player out - Carrick - Manchester Utd - M - 7.0
Player in - Gutierrez - Newcastle Utd - M - 6.0
In the bank - 1.5
Sorry Michael but a 2-3/4 week injury lay off means you bite the bullet. Gutierrez is a flying machine! Fancy him to cause damage when the toon play at St James's. i.e. next weekend.
Also need to stockpile some cash for the inevitable end of transfer window splurge. :)

Ya he surely earned a free kick there in the first half when Vidic bowled him over....nice gift from Mr. O'Reilly to not give the pen or FK!
He'll be very good for toon and answers the left sided problem for now.

PLAYER OUT: Hreidarsson - Ports - D - 5.5
PLAYER IN: DJOUROU - Arsenal - D - 5.0
In bank: 1.5
NOT a panic transfer. A quality Arsenal defender I had thought was drafted for whatever reason. I'll take Arsenal finishing well ahead of Portsmouth, and Djorou at the back of a great team any day....cost me 4 points though! :)

nope. definitely not selected by anyone before jj grabbed him.
he did look impressive against Portsmouth. at one point it looked like target practice.
we'll see how he goes away from the Bridge.

I am hoping for a long term turnaround. I am hoping he flourishes in Scolari's team.
Is it bad that whenever i think about my team I just shake my head in disbelief that i was that dumb in picking it.

hell no.
we all made mistakes in the first week and probably will continue to do so throughout the season.
i had two guys on the bench that could have gotten me an extra 12 points if they were in my starting line up and i really have no excuse for not having Bosingwa in the team.
if he doesn't play due to injury then autosub would have brought in someone else.
stupid move by me. as punishment i made myself eat double sprouts portion at tea tonight.

I was interested, Josh, to see why you are so hard on your team so I checked your roster....
Why is Fabregas on your bench?

he was on my bench for last week because he was injured, and wasnt even included in teh squad.

I sooooo wanted to tell Fraser that Bosingwa was back in training and would probably play:pFPL's injury system is awful. I knew Essien wouldn't play for a week and he was never listed as injured whereas Bosingwa was doubtful. New excel sheet will be up soon.
Made my first transfer, bit of a gamble but I think it can help for next gameweek.
