Been doing a lot of thinking about this recently. There are supposably 15 new stadia in 09. I'm specifically addressing the MLS fans here. but if anyone else wants to chime in feel free. With the rise of the Soccer specific venues in Major League Soccer. What team's stadiums should be included from MLS in 09?
It was nice to the Home Depot Center included last year, but on a whole it was really bit of a let down really since no other team's SSS from MLS were featured. Every other team in MLS except for The Galaxy, and Chivas USA wound up playing in those God Awful generic EA fields.
For me if their going to include some new MLS stadiums they need to get BMO field from Toronto. Gorgous facility, and odd that it wasn't included last year as Toronto was added to the roster of MLS teams. This year they'll be adding the Quakes again, and since their facility isn't built yet we'll probably see them end up on a generic field. But if anyone has any other suggestions feel free to opine.

I guess BMO since the fans up there are the best in the league. No offense to the other clubs but whenever I see a Toronto game it's packed and ungodly loud...just as it should be.
More importantly, I think it would just be better to make those 'Div1-UK' stadiums from 08 look alot better looking and add some variety to them.

why not all? I dont get why they can't...space too full on disk? if that's the case, for 360 atleast (dont know if you can do this on ps3) just have a download of stadia through marketplace that goes to your harddrive. make them free, if you don't have them, you play in generic, if you want to download, you can. imo epl, la liga, serie a, mls, ligue 1 and bundeliga (germany) should all have all of their stadia in the game. than any stadia that seats over 30K around the world should be included in the game. and more generic stadia than just a couple. 5 or 6 or so?

A lot has to do with licensing. The Entities who own the stadiums may want too much money. If your going to show a graphic representation of a commericial venue somebody has to get paid. Even if the representation isn't all that accurate, and you use the moniker Emirates stadium then Emirates is getting paid weather the stadium in the game looks like it or not. Another problem is that the owners of the facilities either might not want their stadium in a video game, have a license with another video game, or just didn't get back up with EA to finalize the deal.

that's lame. if i owned a stadium, and ea called "hey we want to put it in our game...how much?" i'd say: "i'm charging you?! damn, i was going to pay you to put it in"

I can only speak for the PC version, and yes it was on that. Don't know about the other platforms. :(

I find that odd that it was on PS2, but not on PS3? That doesn't seem right to me.

Colorado's Dick Sporting Goods Park and Toronto's BMO field would be nice additions, however any new venue is welcome for me...
