Thanks EE. I'm wondering where all those people are who were proclaiming Labbadia the greatest coach in the first half of the season.

New team, same old shit. Excellent one match, crappy the next.

Just goes to show you that from time to time, it isn't the old coach's fault......

While I disagree with those overly-critical of Skibbe, I also disagree with those overly-critical of Labbadia. I think both coaches are pretty solid overall. I'd venture to say that Leverkusen are playing slightly better this year - but then again they also have a better team now.

Exactly. They have better players now. And they are just as inconsistent as ever.

And actually, they are pretty much the same as they were last season.

Right now, they have won 10, drawn 3 and lost 6.

At this point last season, they'd won 10, drawn 4 and lost 5.

I'd venture to say Skibbe is the better coach. He did slightly better with a worse team.

Greuther Fuerth seem to be doing just fine without Labbadia too. But I'm sure "Borussia" will appear to defend his coaching hero.

To all Leverkusen fans.

I was wondering how Henrique is doing? He's on loan from Barcelona and wanted some info on what he is good and bad at. Thanks :)

He has been a bit inconsistent like the rest of team really, Leverkusen has been inconsistent in general. But he had a couple of really good matches so far this season.

Check out the kicker ratings of all the matches he played to get a rough picture (including the average rating). Kicker is rather demanding and tough to please when it comes to ratings, 1 is the best, 6 is the worst rating.

Ulf Kirsten: "Helmes is going to break my record" (of scoring 22 league goals a season for Leverkusen, club record)

http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/leverkusen/2009/02/17/ulf-kirsten/patrick-helmes-knackt-meinen-rekord.html

Helmes has scored 15 league goals in 20 matches so far, in his first season for Leverkusen. He has 14 matches left to score another 8 goals to break Kirsten's club record.

Hmmm, no idea. ;) It looks like the "Oberfan" isn't writing anymore in this thread since Labbadia's arrival (obviously he's too ugly:-)...

Btw: What's up with Leverkusen at home lately? No win from the last 4 home matches (2 of them played in Düsseldorf).

They need some hardasses in their team, their team is too soft. Someone to get on the player's faces when they don't show up. Defense needs to straighten up a bit as well.

They need someone who can actually hold the possession a little bit longer than they usually do. Everytime they play the team who play possession football (Hamburg, FC Bayern, STuttgart) they were defeated.

Time for Kroos?

Dude. It's the same inconsistency they've shown the past two years.

I told you Labbadia didn't change shit, but no one wants to see........

Voeller got them better players and they are still as inconsistent as ever.

Great match tonight, knocking Bayern out for the first time ever, and fully deserved. Congrats!

Again you showed how much potential your young, very talented team has. So many talented players, capable of some truly great football. If you were more consistent, you'd be real challengers for the Bundesliga title even.

But inconsistency probably has to be expected from such a young, inexperienced team. If you can keep this team together for a while, you'll be a force to reckon with, not just in Germany.
