Kanoute makes it 1-0 from a class pass by the much missed Keane on 13minutes.

Keano goes on a solo run and scores 2-0 22minutes

Poyet and Blondel both start. Postiga and others on the bench.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallllf - Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime!

Blondel is playing very well indeed, and Keano is obviously delighted to be back, both on the pitch and to previous club Coventry. Poyet is off the pace. Haven't heard much about Johnnie Jackson.

The match is on Sky, but I'm at home. I don't have Sky. Bah!

Coventry much improved. They've made some changes, but who cares? They're not Spurs.

Ricketts and Postiga are warming up.

Starting XI:

13. Keller, Kasey
5. Bunjevcevic, Goran
30. Gardner, Anthony
2. Carr, Stephen
3. Taricco, Mauricio
36. Richards, Dean
7. Anderton, Darren
14. Poyet, Gustavo
20. Blondel, Jonathan
9. Kanoute, Frederic
10. Keane, Robbie

Substitutes
24. Burch, Rob
12. Doherty, Gary
27. Ricketts, Rohan
11. Dalmat, Stephane
8. Postiga, Helder

I'm glad he started Blondel, that surely must be a bit of an up yours to Hoddle. Glenda ignored Blondel completely because he was a Pleat signing, despite the fact that the kid is top class. Loads of skill, sweet left foot and tackles like a little tiger.

Poyet could have scored in the first half, had a good chance, but I'd be happier seeing Dalmat or Ricketts in there in place of him.

Keano is running the show.

Ricketts is a ****ing diamond!!!

Great goal, cut inside and absolutely whacked it into the net. Fantastic. He's been great since he came on as well.

Come on you Spurs!

2 minutes added on.

This game has been just what we need. Although Poyet has been crap.

is it me or are the crowd singing 'Glenn Hoddles blue and white army'? And we're playing in our foul purple kit.

Good run out, decent goals.

Blondel looked ok, left sided too. 4-4-2. GOOD.

Shame Dalmat didn't get a run out, but he's building up fitness still i suppose. No Konchesky? Loan run out? or ineligible?

Erm, what else.. confidence boost for defenders.

Man City might be tired out on sunday. Hope so.

Would like to see Keane withdrawn into Poyet's place, and Postiga and Kanoute upfront. Please. :)

Yep 4-4-2 was long overdue.

Keano is a world class player, there's no doubt about that. Surround him with quality and he will shine even more. Kanoute is a good fit for now, have to credit Glenn for that, he's all pace and height to compliment Keano's skill and trickery.

We still need that midfield general in the january window and to improve in defence and other areas, as Coventry were really poor today, but we've got some top notch youngsters to keep us entertained along the way. Ricketts and Blondel are class, and Marney and Yeates will surely follow them within the next year.

I will wait and see if we can follow this up against Man City, defensively they're wobbling but will give our defence a lot of questions. Hopefully this Coventry result will convince a certain few prospective Tottenham managers that there is strong potential in the club and the team is just waiting to be capitalised on.

I watched it on Sky and Chris Waddle was in the studio. He was well pleased for Spurs.

On the Sky Sports Results centre (running on a different channel to the live game) they said that before the Southampton game last saturday they played a montage of Hoddle's best moments as a Spurs player.

Matt Le Tissier said he found Hoddle to be unapproachable and aloof all the time. Hm.

David Pleat was very non commital (sp?) regarding the job and his role.. and said nothing had started and won't til next week. Do we believe him? Surely they have names in mind.
