Interesting PDL addition

Not only does this development give me a team to really hate, but perhaps all American varsity college soccer programs should take heed, shut down, and go the PDL club route. (Of course, BYU doesn't have a men's varsity program.) Well, I can dream, anyway...

I doubt this would be feasible for a public school club to work out, but some pilot projects seem in order.

From the sound of things the last few years, the BYU men's soccer "club" would greatly prefer to be part of the NCAA. As Title 9 regulations require Universities to have an equal number of women's and men's sports, they can't add men's soccer unless they add another women's sport.

I believe that even though they are joining the PDL next year, they will be able to also continue playing at the college club level.
