Pareciera ser que José Luis Villanueva le dio en el clavo esta vez. El chileno es pieza fundamental en el andamiaje del Bunyodkor, elenco de Uzbekistán y que es la sensación en estos momentos en Asia.

Today Villanueva scored 3 goals for FC Kuruvchi/Bunyodkor. :)

Asian Champions League, 1/4 Final
FC Kuruvchi/Bunyodkor 5-1 Saipa (Iran)
Goals: Villanueva 3, Rivaldo, Luizao

(1st match: Saipa 2-2 FC Kuruvchi/Bunyodkor, goals - Villanueva, Rivaldo)

FC Kuruvchi/Bunyodkor reached to 1/2 final of the Asian Champions league. :)

he's been injured today in the asian champions league semi final first leg against adelaide united

also FC Kuruvchi/Bunyodkor lost 3-0 to adelaide in adelaide.

they have a mountain to climb now.

I can't believe there isn't more chileans playing in the a-league aside from rodrigo vargas (who probably see's himself as more australian than chilean), there's a big chilean population in australia so they wouldn't suffer a big culture shock.

yeah... for him to be back in la seleccion Humberto Suazo, Mancilla, Paredes, and even Pony Ruiz would have to die in a plane crash...

then again, thats what i said about Morales at some point...so....

Well Villanueva is the type of striker that works his ass off (certainly a characteristic Bielsa favors) and he has been scoring quite regularly, albeit in an almost joke league. I would not mind seeing him in a friendly, as long as Paredes and Mancilla get their chance first, though.

he may still have something left in him, surely, but this team he's on has won 18 straight games. that's 54 points in 18 games...you can't grow in that kind of league

but i wouldn't be surprised if he were to come back to Chile and show that he's actually a quality forward and among the best Chilean strikers out there
