Not sure if any yankie doodles would be interested, but we have a pretty reasonable sports based radio station over here called somewhat surprisingly: Talksport.
Some of the presenters really go in depth & more importantly have a real depth of knowledge.
Also there are numerous ex professionals working as co-presenters, including Alan Brazil, Nigel Winterburn, Tony (the cass) Cascarino, Razor Ruddock, Micky Quinn, & the guy on at time of writing the excellent Ray Houghton who scored against Italy in the '94 USA World Cup.
Ex mighty reds midfield dynamo, Ray really stands alone as a very clever understated co-presenter who talks real sense.
The other guy on at time of writing is Adrian Durham (7-10pm) a total football anorak, but someone ive picked up lots of really good info helping me place bets on lower league footie.
Although 80% of the daytime output is focused on sport there's also a really entertaining non sport presenter called John Kearns on 1am- 6am.
On the down-side are the endless ads, and the contrived confrontational style they use for phone-ins but generally good for in depth info.
Alao they dont hold the license to transmit live football commentary as that is held by BBC Radio Five Live.
The output is available for streaming at www.talksport.net if anyones remotely interested.
If any US bookies take bets on Uk horse racing check out, Thommos daily double on the web site. Thommo's made me 270 squid this week including a 20-1 shot on Saturday, get in there.
