Bispham Seasider

Today there were very strong rumours that former Middlesbrough striker and Cameroon International, Joseph Desire-Job is close to signing with Blackpool.
At the end of June it was reported in the national media that Job was about to sign with the Seasiders. Today though it was claimed that a deal has been struck which would see him coming initially on loan for six months and then him signing an 18 month permanent contract after that, as he is apparently desperate to leave French Ligue One club, OGC Nice. It is suggested that there are still a few issues over his wages but nothing too major. And he was reported to have been at Bloomfield Road for the Bristol City game.
Of course whether or not he signs remains to be seen, but interestingly he has not been allocated a squad number as yet this season by Nice and has not played for them yet this season. Of course we have Stephen McPhee, Daniel Nardiello, Steve Kabba, Ben Burgess, short term loanee Sone Aluko and even young Danny Mitchley as strikers at the club. But with three strikers currently out injured and a complete lack of goals so far, we perhaps could do with Job coming in. And if he does signm then when Nardiello, Kabba and McPhee are back fit perhaps Ben Burgess may well then have played his last game in a tangerine shirt.
