ITV and Setanta now have the rights for FA Cup coverage. Intially I have to say I wasn't exactly thrilled with the news, until finding out they actutally intend to start from the very first round, indeed the first game even.

This Friday sees Wantage Town v Brading Town. I'm not sure if I'll actually try and catch the web coverage. Wantage is one of the few Hellenic Premier grounds I've never been too (a near miss) so I'm tempted to go. Brading are from the Isle of Wight, Wantage in Oxfordshire. It's also Brading's first ever FA Cup game, Wantage have played a few, but yet to win one.
One live game each round is promised, plus highlights of several more. Clubs are invited to upload footage of other games too.
A very welcome breath of fresh air. Most clubs are already eliminated by the time the compeition really gets the attention.

Thats a nice touch, and certainly not something I'd have expected ITV of all people to come up with.

I actually watched most of that game.
Brading Town went 3-0 up...Wantage struck back to make it 3-1 & with about 5 minutes to go won a penalty...which got smashed against the crossbar.
Commentary wasn't very good...and you could hear the crowd chatting in the background. :D
Towards the end a Wantage striker had a shot which missed & ended up hitting a young kid...and he burst into tears :(

They didn't choose the best position for their commentators. They were close to the corner flag nearest to the stand. It was also the corner where most of the crowd had to walk past on their way to the bar.

I was skeptical at first seeing as whenever ITV do seem to get any sport they cock it up, ala ITV Sport and The Premiership (So glad they brought MOTD back), but I actually quite like the ITV coverage thus far!

Does anyone know what channel is broadcasting the Liverpool v Everton match on 19 Jan? I don't have satellite TV so I don't get Setanta Sports, only ESPN(s) and FSC.
I really want to watch this match as it's very important!
Cheers,
Katie

It doesn't look like ITV will be showing. Perhaps Sky or Setanta. I'll go check.
EDIT: It's on Setanta, makes sense really though Setanta being an Irish company, they like to see the games live from Ireland-on-Sea! :D

Hi,
thanks for that! I found out it's on Setanta but I don't get that channel over here in the US. I guess I forgot to add that I'm looking for channels on digital cable (Time Warner Cable) in the USA that will have the game?
Cheers,
Katie

FYI ... if you want to subscribe to Setanta Broadband ($15 a month), you can watch it live on your computer. You can also watch all the other EPL, SPL, Ligue 1, etc., games that the channel shows. I subscribe to it and it's pretty cool (I also don't mind at all watching games on my computer - not sure if you have a preference ...).

Nope. I have been searching everywhere. I got a French TV connection from the site you posted to work for a few minutes, but then it went out.
