He'll score the goal that wins us the champions league with his left

Today was the first day where Berbatov's complete (?) lack of a left foot actually cost him a goal.

The shot he hit after working the space for himself on his left side was shocking.

I wonder if he'll be the player who scores every goal with only his right foot.

I'm pretty certain that in any situation where the left could be used but he has time to use the right, he'll go for the outside of the right boot before he'll try to hit it with his left.

Two in two, let the run continue, even if he scores of his arse.

Berbatov is like a reverse Adriano.
As long he keeps scoring, its fine by me.

It wasn't a shot. It was a deflection.

Is Rooney's goal total right? He's credited with 3 at the World Club tournament, but only two are detailed.

All three are detailed. Two against Osaka and one against liga.

anyone else have a feeling Anderson will score and DS will decide to disclude it for some illogical reason? :D

I don't think Nani's goal should count.

So Nani have 5 goals, that is one more the last year I think.

He is so similar and so different from Ronaldo it is shocking.

One the one hand, he runs down blind alleys and makes bad decisions, causing frustration of his teammates, especially the primadona forward (Ruud/Berbatov w/ Ronaldo/Nani). However, one of the biggest knocks on Ronaldo was that he had little end product.

The same can't be said of Nani who in the midst of having a game where he wastes the ball a great deal and makes horrendous decisions, he will create a goal or score one. The great thing about him is that so long as you invest time with him there will be an end product. Even if he has a crap game, there will be some top quality crosses and there is always the chance of a wonder goal built on a long run, or a sharp turn to make space. When he matures and becomes more consistent he'll be a real asset. The only way for that to happen though, is giving him more matches than he's currently getting.

That's why I'm hoping the injury is nothing. I want him to get a stream of games, and January/February has enough fixtures for him to do that. If he's kept out again now, it'll just be a poor stop/start season for him, and he won't have made much progression if any compared to his first year with us. There's a great player there if we find it.

At the very least, Park is now rested, which will be an asset.
