I fully expect to see this title from the Opening Ceremonies pulled in the very near future. Mark Wheeler is very serious about the Sam's Army name and it's use.

Don't be a douchebag.

They changed the photo already. The photo was of the US athletes walking in the opening ceremony and the title was "Sam's Army" and then a short blurb about the athletes.

I know the owner of the Sam's Army name has been very protective of it in the past.

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mark Spacone is still the sole "owner" of the Sam's Army trademark, having been registered on July 1, 2008.

Living and working in Shanghai, a patent/copyright/treadmark discussion even remotely involving China is particularly ironic. Shall we call the intellectual capital attorneys? Perhaps not, given no concerns may exist regarding intellect. ;-)
